Because of this dentist’s continued negligence for over a year (lack of complete oral cavity check which is supposed to be done at each 6 month checkup) , I ended up with tongue cancer, neck dissection and radiation. Do your own research online. “Besides routinely watching for cavities and gum problems, your dentist also is your first line of defense against oral cancer. “

Can't say enough great things about Dr. Nelson. He returned my after- hours call as a desperate new patient, squeezed me into his schedule and then did great work to boot. I HATE dentistry and it they passed all my tests with flying colors. He does a WHOLE crown procedure in about an hour, (no temporary crown) without discomfort, and his pricing was reasonable. He's invested in a lot of the latest tech to make it faster and more comfortable for his patients, which I really appreciate. If you hate going to the dentist- he's your guy!

I followed Dr. Nelson to Nicollet Dental after seeing him for a short time at my family's dentist in Edina. Nicollet Dental is down the street from my house so it is not only convenient but I knew I was going to get great care! I think the office used to be a house- it makes the experience feel much more relaxed and friendly. Robyn, the administrative assistant, is so nice and welcoming not to mention the fact that she calls at least twice leading up to your appointment as a reminder and that they're looking forward to seeing me. I absolutely love this dental office! I found this little gem about 3 years ago and keep coming back. The office is warm, welcoming and the staff are very personable! My dental hygienist, Sally, has the best personality, kind, caring, and shows the upmost respect for her clients! I can honestly say I look forward to my dental appointments! And I have had no cavities!! This is truly the best dental office I have ever been to and highly recommend it!

I came across Nicollet Dental via a referral from a friend about a year and a half ago. The whole process (cleaning and 2 fillings) was seamless. Great, friendly staff that made me feel at home and Dr. Nelson answered all my questions in detail. I never felt rushed, it's obvious he know his stuff. I've been going every 6 months, getting my cleaning, the staff all knows my name and the best part, NO CAVITIES!

I went here on a referral from a friend and found this place to be really great. The staff is very nice and friendly. My wait has never been more the a few minutes to see the doctor. Dr. Nelson is excellent. He is fare and tells you what you need and does a great job. I would recommend everyone to go here! Very low stress and relaxing environment.

I used to say that I "hate dentists".
But that's no longer true! Dr. Nelson and his team at Nicollet Dental are outstanding. They truly care about me as a patient and talk me through everything. I feel comfortable for once in my life in a dentist's office. I'm almost 50 and I finally found "my" dentist.
I was searching for an Invisalign dentist - that's how I found them. 6 weeks into it, I am loving having the Invisalign braces on! I am so excited to be finally getting the smile I always dreamt of.

After many years of hating my teeth (thanks to terrible genetics/enamel and some poor orthodontistry), it was time to take the plunge and get a consultation for veneers. After the initial consultation, I decided to go for it. Both Dr. Nelson and Chrissy, his dental assistant, were friendly and went out of their way to check up on me throughout the month long process to make sure everything was going alright.

Being relatively new to Minneapolis, it was finally time to find a good dental office close to home. For the most part, after my initial teeth cleaning earlier this month, Nicollet Dental seems to fit the bill.
Just an observation, but the clientele is a bit on the senior side, and the office is somewhat claustrophobic. Thus the waiting room was a bit cramped with customers, their walkers, and a wheelchair. But the dental hygienist I had was pleasurably talkative, had on nice '80s tunes instead of muzak, and the dentist was like a friendlier version of my grandfather. And the office is less
