Michael has practiced acupuncture and Chinese medicine since 1993. He graduated from Bastyr University and interned at Shanghai and Chengdu Universities of Traditional Chinese Medicine, China. He has advanced training in western clinical diagnosis, orthopedics, pain management, diet therapies and nutrition.
Health Wise Acupuncture is located at 824 East Main #104. If you are traveling East on East Main our driveway is on the right look for the Smile Keepers dental office sign and make a right into the parking lot and proceed to the back lot and park there. Look for the SO Float Spa doors and come in and relax.
You can use the online appointment schedule to check availability and schedule your appointment. Call for other appointment times and I will make every effort to see you. If you are a new patient download and print the forms below and bring them with you to your appointment. If you have any medical records you feel are pertinent to your problem please bring them.
Many insurance companies provide coverage for acupuncture. Please call your insurance company to verify your benefits. You will find the phone number for your company on the back of your insurance ID card. If you do have coverage and I am contracted with your company I will file your claim as a courtesy to you.

Michael is simply the best acupuncturist I have ever seen. I’ve been seeing him steadily for over 17 years. Every time I have a problem, he makes it better. Michael was literally a miracle for me. If you are looking for a provider that will really take the time to know you and all the details of your pain and lifestyle - he is the one. I see Michael for acupuncture and cupping treatments. I haven’t found anything else that takes care of my pain and discomfort like a visit to see Michael does.
He always takes the time to find out what I need as a patient, he always asks about my family like he cares, and his online scheduling is so convenient.
I have had 2 of my 3 children treated by Michael for sports injuries and he makes them feel comfortable before he ever starts treatment. My kids leave saying they feel even better than before they were hurt.

I met with Michael Pope for consultation and treatment relating to severe muscle tightness and pain in my quads and IT bands on both legs. Also, severe burning and pain at my outer hip area on both sides. Michael provided the best healthcare analysis and consultation I have experienced. The acupuncture treatment (only one so far) freed my upper legs muscles and the tightness has not returned. The hip pain had to be treated in an urgent care situation and I am on prescription anti-inflammatory for that (for now). I highly recommend Michael Pope.
