Jeet Kune Do is the forerunner of MMA, started like around 1965 by the legendary Bruce Lee. It has been called Scientific street fighting. It is a beautiful thing to see a child evolve from knowing absolutely nothing to becoming a competant martial artist. If you truly want your child to be able to defend himself than you are looking at the right place.

Jiu Jitsu has become a highly popular form of martial arts because of the UFC. In Jeet Kune Do not only will you learn Jiu Jitsu, but you will train in various other forms of Grappling as well.

It’s a great school to learn self defense. You not only learn how to fight but learn how to overcome difficult obstacles. I’ve trained at this academy for about three years and I can say that it’s been a life changing experience.

I recommend this for any kid or person that is trying to learn real kung fu or wing Ching it like no other martial art experience Sifu Nelson is great with the kids and show great admiration of his martial arts skills this is what Bruce lee trained and studied and he does exactly what master Bruce taught .

I discovered this place last year and is close to where I live. Much easier to stay here in New Jersey than travel to New York City! I have been taking private lessons and had been looking for someone like Sifu Nelson my whole life. He teaches Bruce Lee’s Jeet Kune Do which I never realized takes the best from all the forms of martial arts out there and trains you how to protect yourself on the street. I had taken some Karate in the past but never felt I could protect myself on the street and progress was slow and seemed to perform the same moves every class. Karate classes also spend a lot time
