The RONIN KAI KARATE Federation would like to welcome you to our martial art style. Our style comes from the martial art traditions of the Samurai, where honor and respect are an essential part of our training. This complete martial art style called RONIN KAI. But the style goes further and deeper to complete the skill and spirit of the Samurai Ronin.
Each student is unique and with training, learns to make each technique their own. A method is only useful when embodied by the individual. Cloning a movement masks correct understanding and real effectiveness. There are degrees of understanding technique, and through our grading process, students further develop their particular level of knowledge.
Bushido means "the way of the warrior" and was influenced from Shinto, Zen Buddhism and Confucianism. The goal of Bushido was to create a balance for the samurai between the violent nature of their vocation and serenity. From their beginnings which predates the 8th century, Bushido was originally an understanding with which the Samurai were brought up.

I initially joined the Ronin Kai Karate class because it was conveniently located down the street from my apartment, when I was looking for a new workout routine. However, I soon noticed that I was naturally good at Karate and our instructor/Shihan really knows everything about Karate and will work with you 1-on-1 if needed and you will soon learn the basics of Karate and self defense. He doesnt teach you how to win in a fight, but rather how to walk away from one, but if needed to protect yourself against 1-4 people, you will have the basic skills needed to defend yourself. Needless to say, karate - same as boxing - is an amazing stress relief. Moreover, it's an art with 2,000-year-long history which you will get to learn in the class.
Shihan Bhinda is incredibly passionate about the art, and it translates through his teaching. He's a proponent of teaching several levels ahead and letting the students decide what they want to focus on - perfecting existing skills or trying new ones, or both. What's more he really senses the mood of every person in his class, and improvises accordingly. Bhinda cares about his students, and wants them to have a good time.
