Settled in 1775 and chartered in 1822, the city of Kingsport is steeped in history. An early shipping port on the Holston River, goods were loaded onto barges and floated down the river to Knoxville for further transportation on the Tennessee River. Johnson City, the largest of the Tri-Cities, is the ninth largest city in the state of Tennessee.
Predominantly in Washington County, it also reaches into Carter and Sullivan Counties. Founded in 1856 by Henry Johnson, it was originally called Johnson's Depot and later renamed Johnson City. The twin cities of Bristol, Tennessee and Bristol, Virginia are located in the northeast portion of the Tri-Cities.

Buying your first home is a major decision. As a homeowner there are many advantages. A mortgage payment, property taxes, and insurance is usually the same or slightly more than renting. Plus, you will build equity and each payment will be offset by tax savings from mortgage interest deductions. A big hurdle as a first-time buyeris providing cash for the down payment and your closing costs.
Home inspections provide the Buyer an objective and realistic evaluation of the property's condition. In Tennessee and Virginia, home inspections are not required, yet your Town & Country Realtor will strongly encourage you to get your home inspected. A general home inspection will cost around $250 to $350 and take a few hours.

I did not understand why the sellers just did not list their house “as is” since they knowingly knew they were not willing to negotiate. However, the agent that was suppose to be acting on both the sellers and buyers behaves, tried to pass the blame off on me, the buyer, by saying I was
