At Stith Funeral Home, we take great pride in caring for our families, and will work tirelessly to provide you with a beautiful, lasting tribute to your loved one. In addition to the services we offer, you will receive an online memorial that you can share with family and friends. While honoring your loved one is our top priority, we also want to help you through this difficult time.
In the spring of 1961 Morris Bailey purchased the firm from DeMoss Crunk. Morris and his wife Joy ran the funeral home until 1979 when they moved to Polo. At that time Morris's son Mark took over the management of the Lathrop funeral home.
After the death of Morris in 1994, his son Mark and his stepmother Mary Lou Bailey continued to operate the funeral home until 2002 when it was purchased by the Meierhoffer Funeral Home based in Saint Joseph, Missouri.In 2013, seeing a need for a locally owned family oriented funeral home, Kyle Stith approached Meierhoffer Funeral Home about purchasing the funeral home in Lathrop.

We pride ourselves not only on our experience and expertise but the fact that we are apart of the wonderful communities that we proudly serve. Danny and Jim live in Holt, Kyle and Erin live in Polo. We care about the communities we serve and the people in them, because we are apart of it! Kyle was born in Lathrop and grew up on a farm outside of Polo.

Stith Family Funeral Home created an amazing service for my dad after he passed away. I had never met Kyle and Erin, but fate brought us together. I will say that from the moment I met Kyle he was the most respectful and compassionate gentleman I’ve met. My family chose Stith Family Funeral Home by recommendations from friends. We made a great choice in them. Even tho we had a small service, it was filled with family, friends and other loved ones. We were very thankful for the Stith Family Funeral Home. It was very important to my dad to be buried in his hometown. The funeral home helped us follow through with his final wishes. Kyle was so nice and… helpful with the unknown details. He really knew what to say and do to relieve our worries and anxieties while making those end of life decisions! When my mom passed away and I called The Stith Family they were so helpful to me from the first phone call. It was so hard because of being in another state with all the paperwork and details, Kyle took care of everything for me. Even while traveling to Polo, Kyle made sure we were doing ok with a phone call or text. I truly recommend Stith Family to take care of the funeral needs of your loved ones. Kyle went above and beyond to help my family through this trying time. When our minds were going a million miles a minute he was the calm during our storm. Kyle is compassionate, caring and professional. He makes you feel like he's part of your family. He guides you through the toughest time. Kyle and his services are amazing.
