The traditional service in our Chapel includes basic services of the funeral director and staff, local transfer of remains to the funeral home, embalming and other preparation of remains, use of Chapel facilities, funeral ceremony, visitation, funeral coach, family vehicles, clergy transportation, pallbearer vehicle and flower vehicle.
The death of a friend or loved one often leaves us feeling lost and not sure what we can do. Your first reaction may be to help, but you may not be sure of what to say or what you can do. It is natural to feel this way. This part of our web site has been designed to offer some suggestions that you might find helpful and to guide you on the proper etiquette.
Those who plan ahead find arranging their own funeral, memorial service or cremation service, before need, is one of the most thoughtful acts they could do for their family. The type of service chosen varies with each person, but one thing is constant: a service provides a focal point for remembering your life.
The Gowing Funeral Home staff is firmly committed to providing the most dignified and personal service to all our families whom entrust in us the care of their loved ones. Our motto is "Where Each Family Becomes Our Own" and we will continue to strive to make sure all of our families are treated with the utmost dignity and respect.

Sadly, I'm suddenly in the market for end of life arrangements and had about $20,000 to spend so I'd like to thank Lacie Turner for her detailed and seemingly EXTREMELY honest review...because of her review, I will be be sure to meet my funeral needs elsewhere. I'm sorry you had to deal with such a clusterf*** but thank you for saving me from the same mistake AND wasting my great great auntie's funeral money!!! Thank you!!!
