To make your companion more comfortable on his/her vacation, you are welcome to bring personal items (beds, toys, treats, etc). All dogs go out to play and potty three times daily, Monday through Friday. You can expect to be greeted by a courteous receptionist, clean exam rooms, friendly doctors, and caring technicians.
Pet insurance pays, partly or in total, for veterinary treatment of the insured person's ill or injured pet. Some policies will pay out when the pet dies, or if it is lost or stolen. As veterinary medicine is increasingly employing expensive medical techniques and drugs, and owners have higher expectations for their pet's health care and standard of living than previously, the market for pet insurance has increased.

I started taking my red heeler, Lulu to day boarding in August 2021. She has major separation anxiety from me, and I felt it was in her best interest to take her one day every week for several hours each visit. Lulu has received the best love and care during her visits. Every staff member greets Lulu with such kindness, and they are extremely friendly to me as well. Due to having to be out of town for a couple of nights, Lulu had to stay in overnight boarding three nights. During her stay, she was treated like a queen, and I received pictures of her activities when the staff took her out for playtime

I would highly recommend SBVC! We’ve only been here a short time but have needed a couple of fairly big services with both our dogs having surgeries. Dr. Johnston is expert at his craft- his communication and commitment stand out and he’s top notch. One of our dogs needed a tumor removed in a tricky spot and his technique was experienced and skilled. All the staff have been so helpful and friendly and have responded timely to questions. We started with them during the pandemic when it seemed as though it was hard to get other veterinary clinics to even get us in—so they stand above the rest

Just moved to Waco and, with conflicting Yelp and Google reviews of the vet clinics here, I had a hard time deciding on a vet for our three middle aged-senior cats. South Bosque was recommended to me by a vet friend and even though it was a 15 minute drive with meowling cats, we had a great experience. Everyone was knowledgeable and glad to see us. The vet and tech worked with me on a plan of care, instead of just telling me what to do and what I was doing wrong. The DVM herself offered to and did trim my cats claws' - that blew me away! I was so impressed by the clinic staff's responsiveness to

The staff genuinely cares about our pet here. We are 100% satisfied with their services and highly recommend this clinic for your pet’s needs! We have only used Dr. Cory Zamzow (whom we love!) but all the other doctors are just as qualified.

This has been one of the best vet clinics in my experience. The staff respond quickly and are knowledgeable about your pet. They also spend time with you to answer questions and explain things. They have been great with putting our beloved retriever down and surgery on our sweet Pyrenees mix after all other treatments failed. Also Dr Taylor is a genius! Our cat is, well...extremely gifted at doing ONLY what she thinks is desirable. She figured out a way we could give her anti-anxiety medicine and we had the best grooming session we had in years and no human blood lost!

When I moved to Woodway three years ago, South Bosque Veterinary Clinic was overwhelmingly recommended as the best in the area. My interactions with their doctors for my very senior schnauzer has been only positive. The techs patiently taught me how to administer her meds and subcutaneous hydration. Dr. Zamzow (my primary vet) explains treatments and meds in detail so I know what to expect during my dogs treatments. He's also very patient with my rescued feral cat, even through trimming her toenails! Yikes! Love the front office staff and techs; friendly and knowledgeable folks! Go here

Horrible, money making scheme. Brought my dog's stool sample, $100 later, they found nothing even though I had reason to think there could be a potential issue. Relocated back home, brought the dog to the vet I've used for 20+ years, didn't cost nearly as much money and she needed to be prescribed meds. When getting her as a 8 week old puppy, they told me she needed to get an extra round of puppy shots (4 total). Believed them, but now realized it was probably just for extra money.
Also, when she got spayed, she was somehow 40.1 pounds, so I was charged a higher amount which starts

I can't say enough wonderful things about the staff or the Vets at this clinic. Between my daughters and I we have assortment from Rescue Great Danes, Basset Hounds, pugs, bulldogs, frenchies, and a couple of mixed breeds.
When we moved here we went thru about three vets before a friend of ours said the best is South Bosque Holly takes her fur baby here also. We have seen and visited with almost every vet at the clinic and have had a positive experience with each and every one. But we do have a favorite and it would be Dr. Zamzow He is the most compassionate person he and the wonderful assistants

Reason for visit:
I came in to have my 7wk old puppy checked out yesterday because it seemed her respirations were not normal, not just breathing fast like typical puppies do.
To start off, my personal experiences both being a client and working in a clinic shed great light on what I would expect a clinic to look, and smell like-- yes, I said smell. This clinic hits every expectation I'd like to see when coming into a new (for me and my fur child) clinic. Everything is neat, tidy, and it smells wonderful. I was helped promptly by the receptionists, all of which were courteous. I waited

If you visit this location, be sure to ask for Dr. Robert! If she had her own vet practice I'd give her 5 stars across the board. However, I've had mixed experiences with some of the other vets here. Overall, though, this is an amazing clinic. The receptionists are friendly, there's plenty of room to sit, the waiting room is well-lit and airy with a coffee station for pet parents, and the staff are totally open to letting pet parents walk anxious puppies prior to an exam on the lawn outside (no worries about losing your appointment time, they'll just call your name outside

They all about the money!! Took my dog in, and I feel that they could`ve said what was wrong with her before they run an X-ray that they were unable to read but still charged for it. And all the tests were performed on her and come back with same result, unable to tell whats going on. But in the end I am been charged for some medicine, that they could`ve prescribe without hundreds of dollars in unnecessary tests. 40$ for 10 pills that you can buy them 16 for 4$ on Amazon Nice people there, but their smile is very $$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

This is the most amazing vet I have ever taken my dogs to. The staff is so kind and caring and Dr. Ferguson is so amazing at her job. She always does a very thorough exam and talks with me as well as my dogs through the whole thing. Yes, they are more pricey than some other vets in town, but you get what you pay for. Great vet care, compassion and happy pets!

I have been with South Bosque since 2006 when Dr. Williams owned the office. I am 100% disabled from the military and have 5 to 7 dogs at any one time and about 7 cats. When any of my animals were sick I always took them in to Dr. Williams office. No one else. The staff there is great, the Drs are super and the prices slightly higher but the reason I liked them was that this office let me make payments. In 9 years I spent thousands and thousands of dollars and not one check bounced. The staff and Drs there are great and very caring. March 31, 2015 was Dr. Williams last day. He sold the business

We started going to South Bosque Vet Clinic when we moved to Waco last year, and (unfortunately) have had to see them several times for our lab. Dr. Johnston is our usual vet, but we have seen Dr. Ferguson for 2 urgent appointments when Dr. Johnston was out of the office. Both are professional, knowledgeable and caring. They explain their diagnosis well and do not over-treat the problems. The office is always clean and the office staff is very friendly / helpful. We have been able to get in for appointments on the same day when there are urgent problems, and Dr. Ferguson even stayed late

This clinic runs up your bill by recommending unnecessary testing and procedures. I walk in with a suggested diagnosis, and instead of listening to me (I've owned my pets as well as others for my entire life and recognize the symptoms of typical maladies), they proceed to run up hundreds of dollars in expenses and the results are always what I walked in saying what the problem was. No more. Nice folks, but really - why do you drive up the cost every single time I come in??????

I just have to give credit where credit is due. Dr. Jered Johnston and his amazing staff have taken great care of my pets for years. The staff is caring, patient, and friendly and I can't imagine taking my pets anywhere else. Dr. J has always been very forthright in his diagnosis and quick to explain the implications and possible outcomes of each procedure. He is a very friendly, caring, direct, and honest individual.
I've even seen the staff cry with patients in certain circumstance because I was one of them. Unfortunately, my most recent visit to their office turned out to be one

These guys cost at least 20% more than other vets I've been to.
They also want about 7 dollars more per "check-up" visit than the 9 other vets in town I called.
The last time I was in, they were helpful and answered all of my questions, but they also sent me home 150$ later with a 25$ bottle of ear drops for my dog that didn't work and were hard to administer. Once I called them back they said "If you want to come back in, we can get her some different medication that is a one time deal and costs about 35$"
Needless to say, my dog still has the ear infection and

This is hands down the best vet office I've ever taken a pet to! My dog sees Dr. Hudspath, but I have friends who go to other vets in the clinic and they love them too. The office is off of HWY 84 past FBC Woodway, so it is a little off the normal path. I stumbled upon my vet when my dog had to take a trip to the Waco ER Clinic. I was so impressed by her care for my dog, and her desire to explain things to me clearly, that I decided she would be our full time vet! My dog recently had major surgery and they explained things to me so I understood, never made me feel bad for asking questions
