Pezzi King Vineyards
Ken and Diane Wilson first made a name for themselves specializing in Dry Creek Valley Zinfandels. Pezzi King Vineyards is an ideal match for the Wilson family's philosophy of producing small quantities of high-end, handcrafted wines. The Wilsons, who are the owners of two other highly regarded Zinfandel-producing small wineries, Wilson Winery and Mazzocco Sonoma, are thrilled to have this 137-acre farm set in the hills above Dry Creek Valley.

At the heart of this beautiful property are the vineyards, 65 acres of world-class Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon-which allow the Wilsons to continue their commitment to producing only the finest wines possible while investing in the personal relationships with their clientele through private wine club participation.
Services
At Pezzi King Vineyards we've taken great care to create exceptional wines of the highest quality and we've saved the very best for you! With that thought in mind, we invite you to join the Pezzi King Wine Club family. As a Wine Club member you can choose the level of membership that complements your personal preferences.
Members receive an email two weeks prior to being charged informing them of which wines they will be receiving, how much the shipment comes to, along with the date that we will be charging their account. For members who opt to pick-up their wine clubs at the tasting room, they will be available for pick-up the day they are processed.
Ken and Diane Wilson began purchasing land in Western Dry Creek Valley in the early 1980s, planting their first vines in 1988. Establishing himself further as a grower of quality wine grapes, Ken continued to acquire and plant more fruit in the 1990s. They began making wine in 1993 when they purchased the historic Fredson Winery form the retiring Chris Fredson.
Pezzi King Winery has been practicing sustainable farming techniques for many years. It has been Ken & Diane Wilson's goal to achieve sustainability for the resulting quality wines along with a commitment to the environment for the benefit of future generations.

Our sustainable practices are realized in many forms, but primarily through water conservation, recycling, use of organic growing practices including encouraging pest control through attracting raptors in our vineyards.Staff and guests are encouraged to recycle: Recycling bins clearly marked and placed at convenient locations for vineyard, cellar and tasting room staff and guests.

Out of all of the Wilson family wineries, I'd have to say that Pezzi King Vineyards ranks as my least favorite one. Not because they're a bad winery, but simply because nothing really stands out. Overall, it's average at best. Average wine and average service. Overall, just... average.

I've tasted at both Pezzi King's Estate House and at their tasting room in downtown Healdsburg. The experience at their estate house has been much more enjoyable than in their actual tasting room. My friend and I tasted at their estate house recently. It's located high up on the hill

What a beautiful property. We have stayed here many times, and it was always a great experience. That property and the house is perfect for any large party and very dog friendly. I would def. recommend staying here if you have the budget and time.

Great wine, great staff. Just a tasting room so take that for what it is. It's nice if you want to walk over to the next place but if you want to stay and chill, not quite the place for you

My absolute favorite winery! They have amazing zinfandels that have complexity and depth! The quality of their wines is superb, minus the exorbitant prices. I joined the zin club and brought my best friend to the estate. After tasting their wines, she joined the Pezzi wine club too!

11 am...we opened the place!!! Our hostess, Jamie, was amazing. She opened the wines for the day when we arrived.

We started with the chardonnay, which was very good. Then onto their signature zins. Wow! What fun. As we tasted, we met a wine club member who told us about his recent trip and experiences with their wine. A little bit later, another local who was a wine club member visited and drew us to other zins which they were not pouring. Jamie was so relaxed and easy going that she willingly opened the special wines that he was picking up. Delicious.

Overall, a great experience because of

Smaller tasting room but worth the tight squeeze. Such a great wine list to taste. Each Zin is complex and flavorful in its own way. Take your pallet on a journey with vines aged at up to 100 years old. Winners of many gold medals, this tasting room is one worth the stop.

A bit out of the way from central Healdsburg, this is a great place to taste if you like the fruit forward Zinfandel.

Straight tasting room experience. But the craft of their winemaking, coupled with the very friendly and engaged staff, make this a wonderful stop "in town."

You really have to want to visit Pezzi King as the tasting room is on the inside of the "courtyard" or parking area of the Old Roma Station at Front and Hudson rather than a store front facing a street. The tasting room fits its urban warehouse environment. Nothing flashy or fancy, just a room where you can try out their wine. Years ago I used to be able to buy Pezzi King zins at our local wine shop. One reason for hunting down the tasting room on this trip was that I wanted to see what their wines tasted like these days with the "new" owners. The other reason was that

This was our last stop of the day and we were prepared to make it quick. The servers were knowledgeable and friendly and the wines fruity and divine. Not a quick stop for us! We joined the wine club and now taste for free here and at the 8 sister wineries. Fun!

Good wine as part of the Wilson Family of wines. Terrible...I mean garbage tasting room...shabby as looks like a kitchen under construction...a large drape hiding the back room of wine cases...nowhere to sit and relax...wooden slab tasting bar...No atmosphere at all...a real shame and shock as good wine and Arden the tasting room mgr is awesome! Don't bother unless just picking up wine.

We visited here in December and the staff and pours were amazing, we received so much information about the winery and it was truly an enjoyable experience.

Unfortunately, our second trip was sub par to say the least. The staff member who served us was so awkward and not personable that we were eager to get to the next winery where someone could hold a conversation while (of course) being a fun salesperson. We visited on June 13th between 11-12 if anyone is curious but this definitely had a direct effect on our experience even though the wines are still fantastic. It should be a pretty basic

As a member of Windsor, I am a huge fan of pretty much all of their wines and sister winery's wines. Unfortunately for me, this tasting room itself is pretty lackluster. The joy of going to a winery for me is not only being able to enjoy the wine, but to feel comfortable with the company you are with and also the person pouring your wine. I felt slightly awkward being in this tasting room (as we were the only ones there) and found myself wanting to leave before we were even done.

I wish I could pin it on one specific thing that could be improved, but sadly I don't know if we will be

I came here suuuuper excited to see the views, etc. But this is the address for their tasting room, not the estate. I felt tricked! We left an event early to make it on time to this winery, and it wasn't what I'd read it was. Well make an appt to see the estate and then I'll change my review. Make sure you know which one you're going to! Tasting room, not the estate, is at 412 Hudson St.

We had an 11am tasting at the Pezzi King Estate, and it was amazing. The estate is up a winding road, and the grounds are stunning. The staff serves cheeses, meats, crackers, and dried fruits alongside very generous tastings. Yesterday was a beautiful and sunny day in Sonoma, so sitting poolside while overlooking the vineyard was a fantastic way to do a wine tasting. The Sauvignon Blanc was our favorite white we tasted all day, and Pezzi King makes amazing Zins. Definitely worth making an appointmnet to visit the estate!
