We pride ourselves on providing you with the most professional and highest quality eyecare possible. The visual system is a delicate and complicated part of the human anatomy. All parts of the eye and many parts of the body affect your ability to see correctly. In our comprehensive eye exam, the health of your eyes is fully evaluated. Just as you have a Primary Care doctor for you overall health, it's important to have a Primary Eye Care physician.
Glaucoma, cataracts, and age-related macular degeneration are just a few of the common eye diseases which affect older patients. Even if your vision is fine, annual eye health exams can detect eye and systemic diseases in the early stages when it is easier to prevent vision loss. Help maintain quality of life with good eye care.
According to the American Optometric Association (AOA), infants should have their first comprehensive eye exam at 6 months of age. Children then should receive additional eye exams at 3 years of age, and just before they enter kindergarten or the first grade at about age 5 or 6. For school-aged children, the AOA recommends an eye exam every two years if no vision correction is required.
It is often used to help doctors diagnose and manage neuro-visual disorders such as optic neuritis, amblyopia, and vision problems due to TBI. Pattern ERG (PERG) has been recognized as an effective test in helping doctors to diagnose and manage disease including, Glaucoma, Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD), and Diabetic Edema, among others.

I have been taking my family here for years. Dr. Walker is a funny guy that makes an eye exam painless. Until today, we would never consider going somewhere else. My wife wears contacts, has for years. When she went in for her exam today, they tried to charge her an extra $60 for a first time fitting. I could see it, if it were her first time getting contacts here. But they said they "always charge that fee" even though it was not her first time, nor her first time with Walker Eye Care. Just lost another customer to Wal-Mart!

I am new to town and was very pleased with my experience. Everyone in the office was very polite and helpful. They had students shadowing on the day of my appointment, and even they were helpful and courteous! I will definitely be back and will gladly recommend the office to someone else. I am already trying to convince my husband to set up an appointment!

Dr. Walker and his staff are very friendly, knowledgable and I received very nice care. I did not have to wait long, and making the appointment was very easy. This is a great choice if you are not extremely picky about frames. They have a good selection of frames, but do not carry many name brands and lots of different styles. I am probably not the ordinary customer here since I am from the DC metro area and have normally 3-5 walls of frames to choose from. I would definitely recommend them though because otherwise it was a great experience.
