WARNING! Be very careful when you move out. I took a job transfer and was told i wouldn’t be let out of my lease. I paid my lease through the end of may even tho i left in march but turned in my keys the beginning of may. It was agreed that since my lease ended June 3rd, that this would be an acceptable arrangement. After doing a walk through and receiving a check off that everything was as it should be. Then i get a notice from collections that’s right collections (they never even called or sent me a notice) for a few hundred dollars ,they claimed i terminated my lease early and didn’t have

Winthrop Court Apartments are not good at conducting business with people and have absolutely no people skills at all. All they are concerned about is conning people out of money! This business is concerned about an expensive unit they don't want people to live in, but they sure are good at taking your money. There is no maintenance at all so good luck with getting anything fixed. Plus there are roaches and their units aren't getting sprayed. Not to mention there is mold.

I’ve lived in two different units in this complex over two years. I’ve never been more frustrated with how business has been handled. I’ve had issues with the revolving door that is maintenance, I’ve received false promises and quotes from management, and while the property manager is nice she refuses to accept responsibility for anything saying “they”(referring to I can only assume her manager) are responsible not herself. If you work for a company, you represent that company.
Highly recommend avoiding rental complex if possible. It’s not worth the mountain of fees and headache

The one bedrooms used to be $550, and they raised them to 700, which is not cheap considering that the electricity is expensive. Also, we had to leave because bedbugs were starting to spread around. The frogs that can be heard at night are nice, and there are abandoned cats that you can find at night to rescue.
