Are you a home provider interested in being a part of our Starting Strong program? Here are a few web sites you may find helpful in order to find additional information about children, child care and families. The National Association for the Education of Young Children is a reliable source of information about children from birth through 3rd grade. This is also a good source of information about creating quality child care and resources for caregivers.
4Cs is the local sponsor of the Child Care Food Program in Johnson County (Iowa), a program of the USDA department of Food and Nutrition Services. The goal of the program is to reward child care providers for giving children in their care balanced, nutritious meals. Participants agree to serve nutritious meals and attend at least one 4Cs nutrition workshop per year.
