Services
It seems like we see a news report every week talking about the bullying epidemic that has become so common in our schools and among our young generation. In 2016 there have been 15,679 cases of bullying, violence and vandalism reported among New Jersey students alone. In the US as many as 150,000 kids miss school due to fear and harassment from bullies.
At our academy, our fundamentals / beginner program is developed and based around core techniques that every Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioner should know and use as a starting point of their knowledge. With this program, students will be able to understand movement and receive an introduction into more advanced Brazilian Jiu Jitsu techniques.

Great place!! Bo and the instructors are very patient with the kids program. they teach kids technical moves but in a fun environmen . my son has a blast every time he goes! adult classes are super detailed with moves broken down to simple bits to help anyone from novice to seasoned guys get the moves down pat!! the students are easy to get along with and share alot of info when in class that helps you learn. would strongly recommend beltquest to anyone that wants their kids or themselves to learn self defense!!

My six year old son and daughter have been coming here for about a month now. They both love the classes and the instructors. We have tried a few places prior to finding BeltQuest but were never happy. Too many kids or classes were too short...at BeltQuest the kids are being challenged, they are learning a lot and the classes are small and one hour long. That gives plenty of time for a good warm up and really gives the kids a chance to practice what they are learning. Very happy we found BeltQuest!

I joined BeltQuest without any experience and have learned so much in just four short months. The head instructor, Bo is very knowledgeable and makes a sport with many minor details easy to understand and retain. He is also a respectable business owner and keeps the gym very clean. Whether you are a beginner or experienced in BJJ, do not hesitate and give Beltquest a shot!!

Coach Bo fosters a great environment for the kids. Not only do they learn to defend themselves through Jiu Jitsu, but Bo also instills self confidence, awareness and respect for one another in his classes. We started out with our 6 year old at Belt Quest, but soon our 12 ur old joined after attending some of his brothers classes. They really enjoy it.

My 10 year old son has tried other martial arts but has never found the right fit till now. The owner Bo has been a patient and supportive teacher and pushes just enough. Bo has tailored the lessons to fit my son’s needs and learning style. We have seen an improvement in his overall strength and confidence in a short time. Our son looks forward to his sessions even though it can be challenging. I highly recommend this school to the beginner who is curious about Jui Jitsu and wants to learn from an excellent teacher.

As a 62 years old Health and Physical education teacher for over 30 years, I was looking for a training regimen that would take me out of my comfort zone. I am extremely satisfied in having joined BeltQuest Jiu Jitsu. I highly recommend BeltQuest and teacher Bo. From the first day I felt comfortable, Bo is extremely knowledgeable of his craft, the breakdown of his lessons are precise and easy to practice. The control training and leave your ego at the door philosophy is highly stressed.

Scheduled a private lesson at BeltQuest and had a great lesson. Bo is a patient and excellent instructor. I wanted to work on passing open guard and Bo provided multiple techniques to implement. We drilled each one until I mastered the concept and then utilized them in live rolls. I have noticed a significant impacted my guard passing since this private lesson. I highly recommend BeltQuest to anyone that needs to learn the fundelmentals or who want to build on their existing game. His private lessons are detail oriented and over deliver on value. Check them out you won't be disappointed.

BeltQuest Jiu Jitsu is a fantastic new Brazilian Jiu Jitsu school in West Orange. Their owner and head instructor is friendly and inviting to new comers while also bringing great technique to more experienced students. The academy is clean and the mats are brand new. It's a great environment for children as well as adults. I have been training for over 10 years and Belt Quest Jiu Jitsu is one of my favorite places to train.
