Abbey Naylor has 16 years of experience in the environmental industry. Her specialties include local, state, and federal permitting; project management, environmental site assessments including threatened and endangered species surveys, wetland jurisdictional determinations, and habitat mapping; vegetative and hydrologic monitoring; permit compliance; construction oversight; site restoration; and mitigation banking.
Birkitt is highly experienced in the management of large-scale development, construction, and environmental restoration projects and environmental studies involving multiple technical disciplines. We have proven experience in expediting state, federal, and local regulatory agency negotiations.

Birkitt has provided services for extensive coastal and marine projects throughout Florida. Services have included design of shoreline protection efforts including surveying, environmental, engineering, and geotechnical services to complete conceptual and construction designs; development of detailed water quality and construction monitoring plans to ensure protection of water quality and coral reef, seagrass, and other benthic habitats.
Birkitt Environmental Services, Inc. (Birkitt) provided environmental and permitting services for the 6.5-megawatt Bluebird Solar Farm project in Lakeland, Florida. Services for the 54-acre site consisted of environmental due diligence, including pre-application meetings with the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP).
