Lately unfortunately I haven’t had the best experiences here :( the staff is super friendly which makes this review difficult. However, todays take out order resulted in this review. My coworkers like to eat here and after some experiences I have been bailing on them when they get take out and just going somewhere else. Today I wanted a grilled cheese. So I said why not. I picked up the order and the staff again; was very friendly. I got back to the office and me and my coworker went to eat, and both of our grilled cheese sandwiches were burnt. Now one might ask, why didn’t I call the restaurant

I've never had a bad meal at toojays before tonight. We walked in and were greeted with we are short staffed tonight so it will be a little wait. I didn't mind that . So we got seated and ordered and waited for a half hour . We ordered a burger medium and a grilled chicken sandwich. Both were overly cooked . I have to say the food was horrible. I apologize for saying that but it's the truth. It's a good reminder that cooking at home is better these days.

This was our first time visiting a TooJay's location. TooJay's and their menu is one of the best I have ever seen and sampled. We were there for a late lunch after visiting the nearby botanical garden. We had six peeps in our group and we all shared what we had with one another. I especially enjoyed the onion rings, Ruban, coleslaw, brisket dip, the pickle spear, and the best for last was the banana dream cake. Our server was friendly and very knowledgable about the menu. It was a wonderful experience.

Just finished eating our DoorDash order from TooJay’s. DoorDash is great, their website is so much easier than some of the others and as always TooJay’s food was superb. Been at home 2 weeks with Covid not cooking much, ordering out. TooJay’s is the best. Quality you can depend on.

Food is great here first of all.
Problem I’m having is when I come to get my To Go orders at night time and the order has not been started. Front Cashier then says order is not ready and (Doesn’t notify the cooks that I’m there for my order so they can finish it or start it right away)after 25-30 min the cashier finally goes in the back to see how my order is coming. The cook that missed/didn’t receive my order finally starts it.
Then the cashier comes out and says they are cooking my order now.
A simply solution to this problem when the customer arrives and food is not ready would be

Mine & my husband's food was good however my 14 year old son's fries were cold & his brisket sandwich was very soggy & had way to many onions. Our server was an older woman that was nice until he told her about his meal & her response was not professional at all. She said well I can get you some hot fries but I don't think they'll do anything on the sandwich. We were stunned by her response. She came back with hot fries & a new sandwich to our surprise but the sarcasm we could have done without. Stop making excuses & listen to your customers complaints. I keep seeing the same reviews. Food we ate (burgers, and a sandwich) were great. Good portions too. We tried the key lime pie and cheesecake, was a little disappointed, could get better at Publix or Sam's and for cheaper. Staff were very nice and helpful.

The food here is good, however a bit pricey. Expect to spend @$40+ tip for lunch for 2 people, so when I stop here, it's usually a special treat. (For 2 sandwiches & 2 Iced teas). Food portions are good and the menu offers a wide variety of choices. There is usually a line here, so bring your patience while waiting. They offer take out as well as deli meats (Boar's Head) sliced to order and a few bakery items. The cakes are good, but my last slice did have a hint of 'previously frozen' flavor, but most have been fine.
When you're in the mood for an old school deli, this is the place to go.

They have the best Ruben (I got it with no bun to save on the carbs) it was fantastic. All of their food is super fresh and delicious! Wonderful bakery treats when you first walk in. So happy we ate here for lunch ❤️

Visiting from NY. This has to be one of the spots you must visit when in Vero Beach.
Fresh amazing food. Always. Never q disappointment.
My server Mary was amazing. Very attentive and polite. Great service makes the meal even better.
