The State of Maine requires all radon testing for real estate transactions be done by licensed testing companies. Radon is a naturally occurring decay product or Uranium. It is all around us in the soil, air and water. You can't see it smell it or taste it, but it is there. It is also the second leading cause, behind smoking, of lung cancer in the U.S.
Thermal Imaging is a process in which we utilize a state of the art Infrared thermal imaging camera to find anomalies in your home. An anomoly in a home can be as simple as an area of low insulation or even a water leak behind drywall that has gone unnoticed for a long time. These anomalies show up as temperature variations on our camera and allow us to look a little closer at the area in question.
I have been involved with construction from the time I was a little kid. I learned the basics of concrete with my grandfather in his back yard and at age 7, I had built a chicken coop. From that point on, I was hooked on figuring out how things are put together and how to take them apart. As an adult, I have spent 5 years as a contractor in the house flipping business, taking the worst of the worst and creating diamonds.

Also, he has a great working relationship with others such as Quimby Septic which streamlines home inspections. When shopping for a new home, his inspections helped us avoid one that needed quite a lot done and gave us more confidence in the home we hope to buy. We wouldn't go with anyone else.

Dave has been doing inspections for my buyer and seller clients for the past 2 years and is excellent. Dave was great to work with. He saved us thousands of dollars on a house where the homeowner was trying to essentially rip us off on septic repairs. His attention to detail is was really sets him apart from other inspectors and was well worth the price. I will use his business again and recommend would recommend others to as well.
