We are a small, peaceful, kid's camp and farm school dedicated to offering a nurturing learning experience for children aged 2.5 - 16 years of age. Starting with our back yards and studying insects and exploring the gardens we are moving outwards to see the sights, sounds, and tastes of countries around the world!.
We are inviting our families to share where they come from, the countries, the customs, the music, the foods. We are looking for families who want to commit to a daily shifts in the classroom weekly or bi-monthly, or to teach a specific area: Art, Music, Spanish or following your interests. For the 2.5 to 6 year olds we offer Montessori preschool, transitional kindergarten and kindergarten and enrichment.

Oakhaven Montessori School is a private community school dedicated to offering a quality learning experience for children aged 2.5 - 6 during the school year and up to age 16 for summer camp. We are a small, peaceful community of 12 -14 children guided by 2 + teachers. We follow the principals of Dr. Maria Montessori, 1870-1952, Italy's first woman doctor.
Maria Montessori was born in Chiaravalle, Italy into a home of music, books and study. In her early teens, she entered engineering school, then medical school, becoming the first woman Doctor of Medicine in Italy in 1896. From observing young, underprivileged patients, Dr. Montessori determined that environment was a more important factor in their behavior than previously believed.
Tulum, here with Ixara and Eden, all three of them are Winter babies! is the owner and school director. Tulum has been involved with Montessori since 1978 and has worked with families since 1971.
She holds an Association Montessori Internationale Diploma from London, England in ages 3-6+ years, was trained with the American Montessori Society in toddlers, and holds adult education credentials in child and human development, health education and small business management.

Oakhaven Montessori School is located in an artistic, cozy home, with attractive child furnishings and beautiful Montessori Materials. We have several acres of animals, gardens, structures and healthy, fun activities. Not to mention our beautiful pool that is open to our families and friends for the best summers ever!
