As we reopen, we will start with limited dates/hours. We are also making some changes to our policies and procedures in line with guidance issued by the US Centers for Disease Control, state and local public health agencies, and professional organizations to make the clinic as safe as possible for both our patients and our staff.

Please review the modified hours and new protocols from here before contacting us for an appointment. Having evolved over thousands of years, acupuncture is one of the oldest continually practiced medical modalities in the world. Acupuncture is used to prevent and treat disease, relieve pain, balance mood, enhance athletic performance, increase fertility, and improve overall health and wellness.

My goal is to help you achieve optimum health and wellness. Through working with my patients I have seen the impressive results that acupuncture and Chinese medicine can have. I am grateful to be able to share the benefit of my extensive education with you. My background includes training not only in acupuncture, but in a wide array of Chinese medicine modalities.
Bill is a licensed acupuncturist in New Jersey and New York, and is board-certified in acupuncture. He earned his master's degree in acupuncture from the Tri-State College of Acupuncture in New York City, receiving training in three styles, including Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Acupuncture Physical Medicine (APM), and the style of Japanese master Kiiko Matsumoto (KM).
Chinese herbs are often used in conjunction with acupuncture for added therapeutic effect. While many cultures have herbal medicine traditions, the sophistication of Chinese herbal medicine is unsurpassed. Chinese herbal medicine has a long history reaching back several thousand years, and the resulting system is now used to treat everything from the common cold to symptoms associated with cancer.
Tui na means "pushing grasping, " and is a powerful form of Chinese medical bodywork. Based on the same Oriental medical principles as acupuncture, tui na seeks to improve the flow of qi through the meridian channels. Tui na is particularly effective for conditions involving muscles, tendons and joints, such as structural misalignment, orthopedic problems and sports injuries.
Many first-time patients are concerned that acupuncture needles will feel like hypodermic injections at the doctor's office, but they won't. The acupuncture intake process will involve questions about your current state of health, past illnesses, and family history. Acupuncture works by activating the body's own healing powers, so it can be beneficial for many health conditions.

I came to the Nurturing Life because of neck and back pain and related to it headaches and acupuncture is definitely such a release . I also received lots of direction from Bill on keeping myself away from pain from the root cause like taking Magnesium and using some computer application reminder on sitting straight and taking a break and lots of others ! After session it's very relaxing and happy feeling and I feel my blood is flowing through my neck to my head and releases me from heavy thoughts(oh now I see it's not thoughts ... it's just tight muscles torturing me ). Bill is excellent!! This was my first experience with acupuncture and I was somewhat nervous going in. I had acute back pain from tennis radiating down my leg and chronic neck pain from a desk job. He fixed both! The back pain is completely gone. The neck pain is a work in progress but it’s the best it’s ever been. I’ve tried massage, chiro, physical therapy. This has had the best results BY FAR. Thank you Bill!! You saved me!

I am a 66-year-old musician who came to Nurturing Life because of muscle injury and tendonitis in the right elbow. Not only did I get help with my injuries, Bill and Tanvi also addressed digestive issues and sleep problems I have suffered with my entire life. With a program of personalized treatment that includes acupuncture, cupping, herbal supplements, dietary counseling, and other therapies, I not only have full use of my right arm again, but my general health is better than it has been in a very long time. Bill and Tanvi are knowledgeable, talented, and respectful practitioners who genuinely

There is evidence of exemplary care and a client mind-set. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Kierra Smith she goes above and beyond when it comes to your chiropractic care.

I have been coming to see Bill and Tanvi for over a year now and it has been amazing. The moment I walk in the door I instantly feel at ease and relaxed. The treatments are so personalized and I always feel heard. They truly go above and beyond to make sure I’m feeling my best. I go once a week for overall wellness, maintenance, some sleep and anxiety issues. I can immediately tell when I’m over due for a treatment. They are flexible with scheduling, super fast to respond and really take the time to get to know you and your goals. I truthfully wouldn’t be surviving without them! Couldn’t

I went to see Debra for reiki for a one hour session. It was a great addition to my self-care routine as this was focused on clearing up energy blocks within the body. After the session I felt very calm, relaxed, and even my chronically tight shoulders loosened up - something that I did not expect from a something that is not a massage! Debra was grounded and welcoming and explained exactly how the session would go before beginning. She played peaceful music and lightly placed her hands on my head, shoulders, and other parts of my body that needed attention while I was fully clothed. I drifted

I had major back pain and went for a series of sessions. Bill was very thorough in taking the time to understand my problems and explaining what he was doing and why. Solved my immediate problem and I will continue to go back periodically for "tune-ups". Staff is wonderful, highly recommend them.

I went to Nurturing Life Acupuncture for the first time yesterday after several years of seeking help in other venues. I saw Bill who was knowledgeable, kind and someone who displayed great compassion for my ailments. After 2 hours of treatment I walked out of there already feeling better and now 24 hours later I continue to feel better and am looking forward to more treatments and wellbeing.

I love my visits to Nurturing Life Acupuncture and wellness. I get treated by both Tanvi and Bill and love seeing both of them. They do a great job of asking you every visit how your body is feeling and what you would like to work on. I've seen them for normal cold treatments, my neck and back pain as well as cupping when recovering from my marathon runs. I would highly recommend, Amy is super helpful and friendly in the front office as well.

I've been having a fantastic experience at nurturing life acupuncture! The place is so welcoming and beautiful, will excellent essential oils, teas, bath salts, and more that are all the highest quality I've ever come across. During the last few weeks of my pregnancy I wanted to reap the multiple benefits acupuncture has to offer, including relaxation, relief from the physical and mental stress of third trimester, and potentially a quicker less painful labor. At over 40 weeks I had a scheduled induction on the horizon and wanted to go into labor naturally. I saw the owner for the initial

My go to for injuries and preventive care is Acupuncture. If you are looking for results, look no further. My practitioner was through, knowledgeable, and the treatment incredible. This time, I came in with a sprained knee. It wasn't until the day after the treatment where I got 50% of my mobility back.

I continue the healing process with the Tension Tamer massage oil Muscle Rub. Ariele's Apothecary products have more essential oils in them then anything you can find at Whole Foods.
