Midwest Recovery Center
As we continue to grow Amatus Health, the need to stay competitive and differentiate ourselves in unique ways is crucial. Building creative approaches to reach more people will take our company to new heights. This is why I am pleased to announce that we are officially rebranding. Our new national name, TruHealing Addiction & Mental Health Treatment, will eventually replace Amatus Recovery Centers.

You may be asking, "Why are we doing this?" This new name will give us national uniformity and help brand ourselves as a whole, which will be done in phases. You will still see our existing facility names co-branded with TruHealing for the time being. Healing is what we do. Everyone who comes through our doors is in a moment of profound struggle in their lives.
Services
At Midwest Recovery Center, we understand that there are many faces of addiction. And one of the most enduring myths about substance abuse is that there is an easy, "one-size-fits-all" cure. The reality of the situation is that every individual struggling with addiction is different, and each has had a unique experience.
At Midwest Recovery Center, each staff member brings a combination of education, training, professional certifications and hands-on experience. Your team is engaged in your recovery, and will approach your treatment from a variety of disciplines to meet your needs. Many members of our staff are in long term recovery themselves, and have a passion for helping people suffering from addiction.
When you're deciding on an addiction recovery center, location, comfort, convenience, and experience are likely among your top priorities. At Midwest Recovery Center, our Toledo location is dedicated to serving those in our community who are fighting substance abuse. While you are in treatment for addiction, you should feel secure and supported by the staff of your addiction treatment center.
The Headlines is a place for anyone and everyone who is looking for information about the drug epidemic, addiction, recovery and beyond. You can find stories of hope, strength and healing from people who have been where you are, information about different 12-step programs, the latest news about addiction and recovery, and answers to all your questions.
Amatus Recovery Centers is offering $750,000 worth of scholarships to African American people struggling with addiction. This will fund all levels of care, from detox through outpatient treatment. African American people face barriers to quality treatment. One study found that white people with Opioid Use Disorder are nearly 35 times more likely to receive buprenorphine, a medication that curbs cravings and can prevent overdose.

I have never attended but I have a loved one who is currently here in the austintown location. I feel bad for everyone who goes here. They are only allowed three calls a week and they are for less than 10 minutes. Staff cannot make up their mind on the rules. I have been told to bring snacks twice and then called by another staff member to tell me no snacks are allowed. And don't get me started on visits. Visits are canceled due to covid so I was supposed to be able to have a zoom visit but that never happened. Instead I got a 5 minute phone call that was completely monitored.
Edit: Changed it

They tried to force me into detox, when I obviously didn’t need it. When I refused they turned me away and offered me no services. It’s an insurance scam. The guy was rude. How dare they refuse help to someone who needs it? It is completely inhuman and cruel. Plus the place is like a jail. They are a complete joke. Don’t waste your time here because they will only let you down, which is detrimental to a recovering addict.

Every time I have been inside this facility, I am immediately overjoyed with the presence of such an amazing and supportive staff. Midwest is very clean and thoroughly prepared to offer everyone the care that is necessary to support them through their journey. The entire staff is caring, kind, knowledgeable and loving. I will always refer people to this establishment, and I’m so thankful that there is a center like this that makes it their mission to bring our loved ones back to their full potential and overall happiness again.

Midwest recovery center is one of the best around. As soon as I arrived I felt included and welcomed by staff. Most everyone that works for Midwest is also in recovery and truly care about you as a human being. I had a great experience there. They truly set you up to succeed as an individual! -BM
