We take pride in these little extras. Yes, all funeral homes provide service to their customers. But we believe there is a difference.

We would like to thank the families who have placed their confidence with Davis Funeral Home, Inc. in Canton, La Grange, and Ewing, MO in their time of need and have provided this website as an additional resource for the service we offer to our friends and neighbors.

Davis Funeral Home in Canton was established in 1924 by the late Earl and Helen Barkley. Its original location was in the Canton Business District later moving to its present location. Mr. Barkley added the chapel in the 1950's and several additions to the structure have been added since then.

Jerry and Libby Davis became partners with Mr. and Mrs. Barkley in 1964 and operated the funeral and ambulance business with them until Mr. Barkley's retirement in 1970.In 2007 Jerry and Libby sold their interst in the business to their Son and daughter in law, Brad and Anne Davis. They continue to operate the funeral home today.
Most of us plan ahead in life. We plan for our wedding, our children's education, family vacations, and other significant expected life events. We also plan for the unexpected events of life by purchasing home, auto and medical insurance. Understanding the benefits of pre-planning has prompted many to take the step to plan their own arrangements.
Many who have undergone the emotional strain of arranging a funeral within hours of losing a loved one have made the choice to pre-plan their own funeral. Doing so lifts the burden from their loved ones by relieving decision-making pressure at a time of grief and emotional stress. Funeral arrangements are a deeply personal choice.
