At Imagination Station Preschool, we believe that children learn best through hands on activities and free play. When kids are given the opportunity to explore and discover things for themselves they develop very deep critical thinking. We believe that preschool is about learning life skills that will help them in school and through the rest of their lives.
Through play, kids learn how to problem solve, get along with others, communicate, develop gross and fine motor skills, compassion for one another, how to take turns, how to express themselves, help find their interests and passions, and self-awareness.

Working with children has always been a passion of mine. During high school I was given the opportunity to dive into the wonderful world of Early Childhood Education. After I graduated I began by working in a project based program called CAMP. My passion for children and play based learning led me to starting my own preschool, Imagination Station, in 2017.
Play is a crucial part for your child's emotional, physical, cognitive, and social growth. Play lets children develop their creativity and imagination, it lets them explore and interact with the world around them. Through play kids are able to learn that they are in control of their own life. When children learn through play they are learning to understand.
Like so many in the field of early childhood education, I worry about the erosion of play in our children's lives as technology takes up more space in their heads and fills up more hours in their days. During my final five years of teaching preschool, I witnessed a new and disturbing phenomenon that troubled me then and continues to haunt me now: 4 and 5-year-old youngsters who didn't know how to engage in dramatic play!
