Grace, who has been with Calabasas Orthodontics since 2002, enjoys getting to know our patients and seeing their confidence level grow as their treatment progresses. She can be found assisting Dr. Hoffman chairside, maintaining the lab, keeping supplies stocked, and going over hygiene procedures with patients, answering any questions that may arise.

Is the Doctor a specialist? Orthodontists receive an additional 2-3 years of specialized education, beyond dental school, to learn the proper way to diagnose and treatment plan malocclusions (bad bite) to straighten and align teeth. Orthodontists practice Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics exclusively.

When you have agreed to proceed with treatment and all x-rays and study models have been taken, Dr. Hoffman will discuss the finalized diagnosis and treatment plan which will include a breakdown of all applicable fees and spend the time necessary to answer all your questions.At Calabasas Orthodontics, all costs are discussed before treatment is administered.

Dr. Hoffman was my orthodontist when I was a young teen over ten years ago. I remember him being very nice and professional. I misplaced a retainer a little while back and had to get a replacement recently. Because the office was following Covid-related safety procedures, I felt comfortable coming in. Everyone was exactly as I remembered; Jan at the front was still very sweet and remembered me after many years, and Dr. Hoffman was also still very kind, quick and efficient. All 3 of our kids used the services of Dr. Hoffman of Calabasas Orthodontics. It was truly a great experience with Dr. Hoffman and his staff. He was honest about what needed to be done, his prices were very fair and never did we feel rushed to have their braces taken off too early. Dr. Hoffman even explained that our kids needed to use their retainers every night after their braces were taken to help keep their teeth aligned properly for years to come. They now all have beautiful smiles. We recommend Dr. Hoffman to teens and even adults who needs braces.

This is long over. Our son had braces from Dr. Hoffman and it was a GREAT experience. We were told the cost and that is exactly what we paid. We were told an approximate time frame and our sons teeth were straightened within days of that time frame. Dr. Hoffman runs a tight ship therefore an appointment would take mere minutes. There were occasions that I dropped my son near the door and he would be walking out by the time I had parked and was on my way inside. Dr. Hoffman is an exceptional orthodontist who had taken care of my son, Brian's teeth since he was in Elementary School at Lupin Hill. Dr. Hoffman was always kind and gentle and put you at ease from the beginning. Jan always welcomed us by name and made us feel at home. Now my son is 23 and has a beautiful, perfect smile due to Dr. Hoffman's excellent work. Brian wore his retainer every night as Dr. Hoffman requested, and Dr. Hoffman showed him how to take care of it so it would last like Brian's beautiful smile. Hoffman was my childhood ortho 12 years ago. I'm 26 now.
Hoffman did a disastrous job and he is extremely creepy and lazy.
He is not a very bright guy at all, I wouldn't let my kids within 100 feet of him

I have 5 children,ages 28, 26, 24, 19,16, and all of them have gone through Dr. Hoffman. He has a very nice and friendly looking office. It's always cheerfully decorated according to the season or holiday, Valentine, Christmas, summer, etc... His staff is great, and Jan always gives me a reminder call, the day before our appointment. This has saved the day many times. Each child is different, and he caters to their needs accordingly. For example, my daughter started on her braces later than my other kids and had them on longer, because she had an under bite issue. I took her to see him

I am a dentist in Encino, and I refer patients to dr. hoffman. He has treated my patients with excellence over the last 15 years, and he is just a nice person. When you have orthodontics done, you need someone who is not only highly skilled but a great person and have a great staff, You will find this with dr hoffman.

I took my nephew to Dr. Hoffman 4 years ago. He had his braces removed a few months ago and now sees Dr. Hoffman once a month or so. Dr. Hoffman is great. He has a terrific dispositiona and deals well with his patients and their parents/guardians. I would recommend him without reservation to anyone.
