Dr. Norman J. Nagel has practiced his dental specialty of orthodontics in the Conejo Valley for over 40 years. He recognized the area as a safe, family-oriented community - important to a father of four young children. With offices in Thousand Oaks and Simi Valley, Dr. Nagel has continuously provided quality orthodontic care ("braces") to his patients - children as well as adults.
We partner with you in creating a payment plan that fits your budget, with NO financing charges and NO interest fees! We collect a percentage up front, then bill you monthly throughout treatment once a contract is signed. If your insurance covers orthodontic treatment, you will receive the benefit of reduced personal costs.
We look forward to meeting you at your first visit to our office. During this time, we will help you get acquainted with our office and learn about your orthodontic treatment. We understand that each patient's orthodontic treatment is different, and we promise to give you the personal attention you deserve.
A. Teeth, and sometimes entire facial structures, are permanently changed by orthodontic treatment. It is important that the treatment be appropriate and properly completed. Orthodontic specialists have extensive and specialized training that enables them to provide their patients with professional, personalized treatments.
While you are wearing braces, please avoid eating hard foods, sticky foods and foods high in sugar. Hard foods can break or damage the wires and brackets, and sticky foods can get caught between the wires and brackets. Minimize the amount of sugary foods you eat; the sugar can cause tooth decay and other related problems.

Their customer service does NOT make up for their skills. I would rather have mean doctors and pay for good service instead of paying for my teeth to not align.
He took my braces off way too soon, leaving my teeth still crooked. My retainer is way too loose but he doesn’t fix it. He knows my teeth are crooked and let’s them stay that way.
You’re supposed to be a dentist I thought?
I do not recommend what so ever. Do not waste your non-refundable money.
His nurses barely speak english, they don’t know anything about what they’re doing.

I was a patient of Dr. Norman Nagel and Dr. Jeff Nagel for quite some time. When I first went to see him, I had so may issues with my teeth. Dr. Nagel helped me straighten my teeth where other orthodontists couldn't. I cannot say enough nice things about him. He is kind, gentle, honest and very caring. He listens to you and gives very sound advice. I highly recommend Dr. Nagel.

Both doctors are great. Both are professional, really knowledgeable, and kind. They greet their patients by name and with a smile. They make everybody feel comfortable. They take the time to connect with their patients. They make the whole experience as pain free as possible. The dental hygienists are knowledgeable, and very nice as well. You'll always find Nicole at the front desk ready to assist you with a smile. Thank you everybody at Nagel Orthodontics for making my son's ortho experience the best!

My family has been going to Nagel Orthodontics for years. We are just stating our third daughter's braces. I would not consider going anywhere else for her dental care. Both Dr. Jeff Nagel and Dr. Norman Nagel have always treated my daughters with kindness and consideration. The office staff is very helpful, and always make my family feel welcome.

Both of my kids have been patients of Nagel Orthodontics. I honestly cannot say enough about how wonderful our experiences have been. Besides the fact that their teeth are GORGEOUS now (and we're only half-way through our daughter's treatment), every aspect of the process is simple - from discussing cost and insurance prior to beginning treatment to yearly follow up visits after treatment is completed. I can't say enough about how happy and impressed I've been with our experience at Dr. Nagel's office. They are as kind and professional as I could ever hope for and my daughter's progress is going as well (or better) than I had expected. I've used other orthodontists over the years for my other children, and I can honestly say they didn't hold a candle to this office. I highly recommend both doctors and the amazing staff!

Dr. Nagel and his staff helped my family for years. All 3 of our children need orthodontics work and loved going to see Dr Nagel and Dr. Jeff. It is not just a visit to the office but like visiting family and always fun, even if a little painful at times. I am so grateful to the Dr.s and the staff for all their hard work and caring nature.

I love this orthodontic office the whole staff is. All so nice and friendly you will never walking into another dentist office and feel more welcome then you do when walking into their offices. Also I have had my braces for a while and they have done a great job with my teeth in very happy with their services 😊😊😊

Outstanding orthodontist office. From the Doctors to the staff I applaud their attention to detail and customer service . We have always been greeted with a smile and answers to any and all questions. Not only has my oldest been here but now my youngest just had hers put on. I highly recommend this office and am extremely pleased with the results.
