We didn't set out to start a business! Mike has been working on anything with an engine since he was a teenager. He worked as an apprentice at a local four wheel drive shop in high school. After graduation, Mike served in the Army for 8 years as a communication specialist. Upon returning home, he went back to his passion: cars!
We can check all of these as well as show you how to! A better informed driver is a safer driver. Regular maintenance on your vehicle will save you money in the long run. New oil and filters make for a smoother running engine and a more efficient car. We can also check your belts to make sure you aren't at risk of breaking one while driving.

Absolute Perfection as per Usual!!!! My husband & I have been going to Mike & his Crew for years & we REFUSE to let ANYONE ELSE work on our vehicles! Christy Is absolutely Amazing at what she does there in that office. She is Mike's right hand when it comes to their business running like a fine oiled machine (as my grandpa used to say).

The entire staff was awesome. My son and I had the best experience with Attkisson auto today. I think we met the entire family lol. The owner Mike was their when we went to pick my son’s car up. He heard us talking about his radio that wasn’t working and he started asking my son questions. Mike recommended what brands to look for and which ones to stay away. He went and looked at my son’s car and told him what all he would need to get and this wasn’t the reason we took the car in. He then took us on a tour of the workshop and it was exceptionally well kept. Mike told us about each mechanic

Very professional and quick. I had to get my A/C compressor fixed at the beginning of the spring. My fathers friend suggested Attkisson Automotive and I am very glad that he did. I was able to drop off my truck the same night I called to see if they could look at it. The next morning I get a call telling me exactly what was wrong with it and the price to fix it and asked me if I wanted to proceed. The price was very fair and the next day I got my truck back with perfectly working cold air. I have had zero problems since and it is now nearing the end of August. Very quick, professional, and friendly

Found Attkisson online when I needed a pre-purchase inspection for a used vehicle that was 3+ hours away from me. Not only were they friendly and helpful, they did a great job inspecting the vehicle & taking detailed pics of it for me. The mechanic also spent time going over some things I needed to know about the new diesels since I'm upgrading from a 2003 model. Based on this interaction, they would be my new regular shop if I wasn't so far away!

If you want an honest and hard working mechanic, this is the place to take your car! Another local shop replaced my fuel pump recently and after I got my car back, I couldn't fill my gas tank up. They tried to fix the problem a couple of times, but no luck. It was a mystery. So, when my check engine light came on, I started my search for a new mechanic. My whole family has been going to Attkisson since my brother started having car trouble a few years ago, we've followed them around with their move and love this place. They go out of their way to help and recommend the best course of action with any car trouble you have. Not just that, they always interact with my 3 year old and have toys for him. I am giving Atkisson Automotive a one star because I cannot give them a zero. They left a large screw off of my vehicle that mounts my motor in place. When I pressed the gas pedal, the motor leaped in the air. It could have fallen from my vehicle while driving. Also, there were many loose screws. That was dangerous and reckless. The owner drove it and knew. They wanted me to return it to them for more money. So dishonest and cruel! I don't recommend taking your vehicle to this repair shop.
