In 1955 Forrest E. Zeis opened Zeis Funeral Home on Detroit Ave. in Lakewood. Realizing a need for a comfortable, attractive facility dedicated to serving families that have lost a loved one, Forrest E. Zeis established a true home setting while not forsaking any of the modern amenities that provide comfort and convenience to families seeking refuge during their time of loss.
We understand that making the many decisions which come at a time of loss can be difficult. We offer our support by providing you with two options as you consider making immediate arrangements. With online Arrangements, you can take your time to select the arrangements which are best for your preferences and budget.
Staff members of Zeis McGreevey Funeral Home and Cremation Service are caring and experienced professionals who understand that each family is unique and has personal requests and traditions. These requests and traditions are of utmost importance to our staff of licensed funeral directors. Chad grew up with the business having lived with his family in both Lakewood and Rocky River.
Conveniently located on Detroit Rd. between Columbia Rd. and Crocker Rd. We have two large viewing areas able to accommodate large family gatherings with over 100 parking spots and meticulously maintained facilities. Our two large parlor funeral home is able to accommodate large family visitations and services.
Most of us are not prepared to plan and carry out a funeral ceremony for someone we love. And so much of the information available on this critically important subject fails to focus on what is most important: having a personalized, meaningful funeral that helps families and friends begin the healing process of mourning after the death of someone we love.

Had such a good experience working with Chad and the whole staff at Berry-McGreevey and Donald Martens and Sons Funeral Homes and Cremation Service. No matter how many emails I sent to Chad, he responded in a timely manner. They were honest and kind and definitely made this difficult time easy. They also had one of the best rates for cremation. One one place beat there price but the customer service was terrible. I really appreciate everyone there. The kind text messages I've received even months later from Elizabeth, let me know they care about what they do and the families that they know are

My father and I had pre-planned his funeral. So, when he passed away in September everything was already in place and it went very smoothly. The staff was considerate and helpful. Mr. Spooner even gave us his cell phone number so we could reach him if we had any questions. I would highly recommend their funeral home to others.
