The stately landmark building which houses Liston Funeral Home was the first funeral home in North Ridgeville. Built as a residence over a century ago, the gracious structure was converted into a funeral home in 1963 by Harold and Kathy Bogner. In 1986 the Bogners sold the funeral home to Busch Funeral Homes of Cleveland.
When it comes to your final arrangements, shouldn't you make the decisions? The arrangements you make will reflect your exact wishes and desires. Pre-arranging your own service will help to ease the burden of your loved ones. It will also alleviate any questions, problems or differences, which can occur among family members.
The basic Military Funeral Honors (MFH) ceremony consists of the folding and presentation of the United States flag to the veterans' family and the playing of Taps. The ceremony is performed by a funeral honors detail consisting of at least two members of the Armed Forces. The Funeral Honors rendered to you or your veteran will be determined by the status of the veteran.
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) furnishes upon request, at no charge to the applicant, a Government headstone or marker for the unmarked grave of any deceased eligible veteran in any cemetery around the world, regardless of their date of death. When the grave is already marked, applicants will have the option to apply for either a traditional headstone or marker, or a new device (available spring 2009).
A United States flag is provided, at no cost, to drape the casket or accompany the urn of a deceased veteran who served honorably in the U. S. Armed Forces. It is furnished to honor the memory of a veteran's military service to his or her country. Generally, the flag is given to the next-of-kin, as a keepsake, after its use during the funeral service.

There are times when funeral homes work together on out of town burials for the families they serve. Recently we have worked with Bob Liston at Liston Funeral Home, and it was very apparent that he goes above and beyond for the families he serves in the North Ridgeville Ohio area. As a funeral director and owner of a funeral home myself, Bob Liston and his staff would be my recommendation to any family during their time of need.

This funeral home is exceptional. I called four or five funeral homes prior to settling on this one. As soon as I spoke to Bob, I knew I was choosing Liston . Throughout the process, Bob and Sean were thoughtful, compassionate, professional, and kind and helped simply an otherwise stressful process. This was my first time both planning and attending a funeral so I'm really deeply appreciative for their help. Highly recommended!

I simply cannot imagine our unfortunate experience without them there to help and guide us. The entire team is staffed by wonderfully compassionate people that make a bad experience more bearable. If you want to put your family in the best hands, look no further than Liston.

Bob and his employees are the best! Death is never easy, but Bob has a way that eases one's heart and gives joy to one's soul. I preplanned and there was never a glitch or catch. Bob and all who work with him are there to help, comfort, and serve. They are the BEST!

I cannot thank Bob Liston enough for his kindness and compassion at this difficult time. He handled the burial arrangements of my brother who was a Navy veteran. I'm so glad I chose this funeral home for my brother.

It's a very good place to go for your loved ones I lost my son I brought him there they treat me better than any place I've ever been to or ever talk to .
You can trust them to take care of your family like they took care of my son Andrew.
There's just not enough words to say how much I appreciate everything they've done to help me and my family to go through this process.
Thank you so much ..

Bob @ Liston Funeral Home was incredibly helpful and generous in our time of despair. My fiance's mother suddenly passed a few years ago and it was our first time having to do funeral arrangements. With no life insurance or saved money to help - no other funeral home would work with us and our budget, until we found Bob. We agreed to a payment plan over a couple years at our own pace and we are forever grateful.
