While in high school, chef and owner Billy Toomey started working as a busboy at Ladd's. In 2000, his love of the restaurant led him and his parents to buy Ladd's. Today, Billy and his wonderful staff operate the restaurant, favored by families throughout the region for its outstanding prime rib, seafood, chowder, and other delicious dishes.

Ladd's was great! It was our 1st visit and we didn't know what to expect. We were very happy.
The service was great. The food was very good. It was so nice to have well experienced staff,so friendly and efficient , which is so hard to find today, and it made our visit a pleasant experience. We look forward to the next time.

It took just about an hour and a half to get our food. The food itself was very good but because it took so long I don't think I will be going back. Also there were three desserts on our bill that we did not order or eat. The only reason I gave 3 stars was because the food was actually good and when the manager came over and apologized she took one of the meals off the bill.

Another great meal here. I like the 12 dollar menu and came back just to see what was there. Got 2 pork chops, like the last time (or the time before) this time it had a great honey mustard sauce and I've no regrets. Well, I wish I had a local side vegetable, the baby carrots were not going to be great. Not enough of a deal to lose a star. Julianna was attentive and pleasant. That is to say, the service was great.

It was our first time at Ladds and it won't be our last. Caitlyn was our server. She was very kind, polite and good at her job. Its a very comfortable and warm atmosphere. My step father got the seafood casserole. My mom got the steak tips and I got the king cut prime rib which was amazingly tender and juicy. It's our new place to eat.

Was looking for a place to eat on a Friday night where everyone was busy and me and my fiancée stumbled across Ladd's. Place looked pretty busy but we were greeted and seated immediately. Very nice dining room for a nice romantic setting or a lounge area with a bar to have a couple drinks. The food was reasonably priced and the service was great, my server as well as the others I could hear talking were well versed on the menu and knew all the right questions to ask, giving me a feel that everyone here cares about what they do. Ladds is great, If you're in the tavern/ bar area. The main dining room looks like something you're grandmothers home... if your grandmother is 100+ years old. Maybe some like that though, not my vibe. Anyways, their food is delicious and I recommend getting their pizzas. Big Mac pizza does not disappointment

Okay I guess it's Saturday night, and it's busy!however I'm a server and I know it gets busy, at least acknowledge someone sitting at the bar. Plenty of chances for a few servers/Bartenders/bus people to acknowledge us!!! And some even making eye contact a few times) still nothing!!! Then finally service (not happy at all).not sure who was waiting on us, had to ask a few times for service.The entire bar seemed under staffed and chaotic!

We usually enjoy our "date night" at ladd's. Seating in the lounge area is comfortable. Service can be "either or". we've been ignored, treated like an inconvenience or treated like a valued customer. Food is good, good menu selections, value..we like Ladd's.
we recently went with friends and decided to sit in the dining room area. Service was excellent. And the meals were served hot and as ordered. But, I ordered a garden salad. $14.99. I decided I would have some shrimp added to that. I was unclear of the price but it was a night out

I hadn't been here in 10 or so years but found ourselves in the area last weekend.
We came in about 7pm and sat in the dining room. We ha a fairly new waiter but he was extremely friendly and attentive, if a little nervous. He appreciated being overtipped!
Drinks came quickly and were made perfectly. I ordered Prime Rib with mashed potato and green beans, my wife the chicken parmigiana over angel hair.
Her meal was fantastic in all aspects.
Prime rib was excellent and an amazingly thick cut. Mashed potatoes were very lumpy (one of my pet peeves) and to me inedible. Green beans were fresh

OMG...excellent!! The soups were great...clam "chowdah" for him & I tried the steakbomb soup...if you like any combination of steak, cheese & onions you need to try this!
Best prime rib I've had in a long time...literally melt in your mouth deliciousness!! The butternut squash was beautifully laced with cinnamon. The service was friendly & effecient, the atmosphere is that of a neighborhood bar with outstanding food, but the FD!!! Top notch!! The desserts were decadent...we ordered the chocolate molten lava cake & the Bailey's chocolate chip cheesecake...so
