You should be shopping for insurance carriers - who will insure your home? Also, it's a good idea to plan to be on site when your home is inspected - it is very informative! Think about a home warranty plan as well - they can save you hundreds. If you need a referral to a great realtor - we can help!

I have used Scott for years now. He has completed 3 refinancing for me the last one will be my last because of my age and the low rate I received. I always look at the payback to me on anything. With this loan he rolled my Solar loan into my mortgage and saved me around $300 a month.
I like it that he looks at the payback you get before he recommends any type of refinancing. If you are looking for someone that does a great job of staying on top of things and will look after your best interests then this is the guy that you want to do your loan.

My wife, Bonnie, and I have just completed refinanceing our home with Scott Vickers of "The Mortgage Resource".
The entire experience was as stress free as any major financial transaction could be. We had challenges such as past
bankruptcy, items on credit reports not being cleared, poor record keeping on my part.
Scott walked us through the whole process explaining anything we didn't understand, sometimes more than once for me,
and never ended an appointment until Bonnie and I were satisfied with the information we were getting at any given
time during the process.

If there were more than 5 stars available to give to Scott I'd do it!
That's because his knowledge and ability to take what can seem to be complex (to those of us who aren't mortgage lenders) and put things into understandable terms is outstanding.
This is not my first mortgage or refinance working with Scott yet it was by far the easiest due largely to Scott's expertise in making sure all of the "moving pieces" were handled in the most efficient way.
He also kept my best interest at hand as he'd "coach me" through when the interest rate was optimum and what I needed to do in order to take advantage

I just completed a refinance of my home with The Mortgage Resource and I cannot sing Scott’s praises loud enough. This was a very emotional time for me personally and he was the calm I needed during this process. He answered all my questions….and I’ve been told I ask a lot. He was knowledgeable, patient and made sure I understood every step of the process. He has great instincts too. When I started the process, I was expecting one rate and he said, “Let’s give it one more day, I’ve been watching the market.” The next day the rate dropped .25%. I was ecstatic! Scott is the best, professional and knowledgeable in his industry. Was able to guide me along through a refinance loan without to much pain (would rather go to the dentist daily, then get a loan). The escrow company told me that I have the nicest loan officer in the business, I can certainly agree with them.
