When I first entered Prestonwood as a patient, having just undergone surgery to reduce fractures of my left femur and left scapula, I was in bad shape. Not only was I in intense physical pain, but also my mental condition was extremely negative - I was very discouraged and had serious doubts concerning recovery and my future.
Our heartfelt thanks and appreciation for the loving care our mother received during her years at Prestonwood Rehab. We especially thank the nurses and CNAs for the friendship extended to mother and to us. We will always have a special place in our hearts for each of you. Our team of Licensed and Registered Nurses are attentive to your needs 24 hours a day.
We understand that healthy and flavorful meals can be as important to your recovery as your physical therapy and skilled nursing care. Good nutrition will help speed your recovery and improve your well-being. You may choose our Chef's Special or one of the other nutritious options prepared daily. You'll enjoy prompt table service with indoor and outdoor seating available.

So far not good. Parent left alone to sleep. They are not performing any physical therapy atm. Feed my parent ice cream and apple juice. They are not motivating. Parent tells them I'm tired and they let them sleep. A good therapy person would be able to be motivate my parent properly. We will be calling the Director John Robinson on Monday to discuss treatment.

People are nice and friendly. However, there is a lack of communication between myself and family with thier staff. Also beware that they have ties to archway hospice care. Son is archway and 2 parents are directors. Also a unconfirmed

After a family member spending time there, I would not call this a 'skilled' nursing home/rehab. When my family member went to prestonwood from a 3 week hospital stay, they were talking, eating and coherent. My family member was supposed to be receiving rehab to get strength back. Being there for a week my family member went downhill. Yes, because of covid family could not visit. The communication was pretty much non existent. Family should have been kept informed about my family members condition and how serious the decline was. I feel they left my family member alone to die and did very little

My Father-in-law fell and broke his shoulder 12/29/20 on top of having the Corona Virus and was admitted to Prestonwood Rehabilitation. The care was excellent and the Rehab was perfect. They were able to get him over the virus and rehabbed for his shoulder so that he could return home and back to his prior lifestyle. He couldn't quit bragging about how he was taken care of and that he knew he wouldn't have it this great when he returned home. He was especially found of the food although mainly the Oatmeal he was able to have every morning. He still talks about it today and how he just cant find

My mom spent the last 3 months here after leaving the hospital, she just passed last week. The staff and nurses treated my mom so well and communicated with me the whole way. My grandmother had been in several facilities before she passed about five years ago. None of them compared to Prestonwood. Angela and her staff were the best, and my mom was not an easy customer to please. I would highly recommended Prestonwood to anyone needing care for a loved one.

My mom was recently here in may thru june. What is upsetting is that nobody was allowed in due to covid. So my family and I never really got to see if my mother was receiving the best treatment. From what my mother told us it was "okay." Someone was extremely rough with my mother while they were giving her a bath, and my mother said it hurt. My mother has an extremely high pain tolerance, so if she said it hurt that means this person was more than just rough with her. This was addressed and taken care of via a group of administrators, and doctors when they had a discussion with my father via speaker

While my mom was alive they were ok at times. Her head nurse was good and helpful. Some staff were nice and pleasant while others were mean and seemed like they hated their job. Patricia the salon operator was awesome!! She was always very sweet and would go to the dining hall makeing the rounds & go from table to table talking to everyone. But when my mom passed away and they packed up her personal belongings I noticed they STOLE her iPhone charger and another couple items!!! Really lame and sad that they felt they could do that, especially since I was up there 3x a week and got to know everyone

While still at Baylor in Cartollton last week, realizing I needed to go a rehab facility rather than home, when I found out it was to be Prestonwood in Plano, I reluctantly went online to look at the reviews wondering what I would find. Sure enough they were mixed. Having been and around other facilities before, I wondered what I was getting into. How would I be treated? Would I be seen as a person of worth or just one of those "come and go patients?" Ho! Hum?
Would my possessions come up missing? Would it be a "grin and bear it" situation? I was anxious. Thankfully, I noted the few negative ones

My father is at Prestonwood Rehab and we have found the staff to be the most caring, kind, and hard working group of individuals. From the nurses, physical therapists, the aids, to the lady that cleans his room are better than other facilities he has been in the past. We checked out several in the Carrollton area. Dano did an amazing job and is thoughtful. All of the staff try hard to assist my dad in a professional and respectful manner even when my dad is not kind or respectful. I wish I could name all the staff by name here.

It was an horrible experience for my 87yr old father. His care was lacking. His clothes and money were stollen. We reported abuse by a aide and nothing was ever done. I photographed the bruises on my dad's arm. They never asked to see them. This happened the night before my dad was leaving to go to another facility. Prestonwood said my dad had reached is full potential in therapy, which was not true. My dad went on to another facility and completed another five weeks of therapy which shows that he was not ready to be released . Of course with all the problems we were having at Prestonwood with
