First of all, bravo for reaching out for help. The fact that you are doing an internet search for a therapist in your area is the first step to getting better, and it is a big one so congratulations on starting your journey! Our counseling practice believes in the journey. This is why we named it "Wayfare Counseling".
Wayfare is an Old English word that means "to go on a journey". This is what we believe counseling is all about. The journey is just as important as the recovery, and we would love to come alongside you in that process. While specializing in both sexual addiction recovery work and complex trauma, we also work with individual clients struggling with a variety of other issues like depression, anxiety, or relationship issues.

Services
We realize that no two people are the same and, as such, tailor our therapy to meet the specific needs of our individual clients. Whatever struggles you are walking into the office with, we will help you recognize underlying problems, fully realize your strengths, and adjust certain behaviors and thoughts to see things a different, healthier way.
We have been very intentional about creating a space that feels calming and nurturing so that you can feel safe as soon as you walk through the door. Our hope is that this environment will produce allow you the space to address the concerns that bring you into therapy. As we have heard from many clients, taking that first step to make and appointment and come in for an intake session can be very anxiety provoking.
We understand that you may feel great sadness and shock at this time. Others have expressed how embarrassed and alone they felt when they first found out that their partner was sexually addicted. You are not alone. Hundreds of people wake up every day to discover their partner, the one person whom they are supposed to trust completely, has been living a life of lies and deceit because they suffer from a disease-sex addiction.
These assessments are considered to be the most widely used screening measure to help identify the symptoms and concerns characteristic of sexual addiction/codependency. You can use the below assessments to help you determine if you need to speak to a mental health professional or physician and get help for one of these problems.
Not at all. People who ask for help know when they need it and have the courage to reach out. Everyone needs help now and then. In our work together, I'll help you explore and identify your strengths and how to implement them to reduce the influence of the problems you are facing. The difference is between someone who can do something, and someone who has the training and experience to do that same thing professionally.
