Franciscan Home Care and Hospice Care believes in the dignity of the human person and the sacredness of human life. The dedicated staff of nurses and social workers, physical, speech and occupational therapists, and home health aides specializes in the needs of persons who are elderly, handicapped, chronically ill or terminally ill who would benefit from care in their homes.
Franciscan Home Care was founded in 1974 by Sister Marcia Ternes, F.S.E., as requests for personal care in the home came from elderly. As clients needed more services, the agency was impelled to expand its service areas. In 1998, the agency was licensed to provide hospice care and then changed its name to Franciscan Home Care and Hospice Care.
We need and greatly appreciate your support to continue our services. As a not-for-profit agency, we rely on the generosity of supporters for prayer and donations. Our fees and reimbursement rates are set by State and federal regulatory rules which leave little room for financial security.
Oftentimes our expenses outweigh the reimbursement we receive for services, so we look to friends, grants and community-minded businesses to help us fill the gap.Thank you for whatever ways you can help us serve others as we care for those in need.
