So disappointed! and it costs $40. My nails were pretty long and I said let’s just cut a little, then my nails are little now. Also a lady cut it not even straight. And this was gel, not regular. I would even do better job than this, look at how the polish stuck with my skin everywhere. It’ll be fall off from the edge in 2 days for sure! Never go there for gel!

If I could give it zero stars I would. It was the absolute worst experience that I’ve had at a nail salon. The technician cut me, filed so that my fingers were bleeding and tender to the touch. Plus, nail polish remained at n my fingers, which she said should come off in the next day or two. Eight hours later and my hands, bails and cuticles are slathered in neosporin and Aquafor in the hopes of feeling better and redicing the redness and puffiness. Avoid this salon.

I gave this place a shot three times. The first time, the nail tech was rude but the acrylic full set was beautiful. The second time the nails were nice but started falling off in less than a week. Okay…? I go a third time and a man with dirty nails cut my finger with the buffer and tore a hole in my left pinky nail trying to remove one of the few acrylics that had not already fallen off. I told him nevermind just please clean up my nails and that’s all I would do but he said he could do a gel manicure to “fix it”. He even had the nerve to comment that I’m bleeding when it was because

LOVE the design I got from Jennifer at Metropolitan Nail Bar. She made sure to spend time on my nails and shape them perfectly. This is my third time going and I definitely recommend Jennifer.
They're usually pretty busy so I suggest calling ahead if you plan on going. I called an hour ahead and was waiting for quite some time before being seen. Overall good experience though!

Pro - was able to walk in and get my nails done and the place overall looks nice. Social distancing weren't too many people in the establishment for those who did not wear mask to be more than 6ft distanced
Cons - place over charges. It's Virginia so masks ate optional for client and employee. paid $95 to have my liquid gel taken off and redone with gold flakes on real nails ($60 for liquid gel, $10 cuticles cut (under nails not cleaned or soaked in water), $13 I believe was the charge to take off gel and w/e charges)

My go to nail salon! I always book with Dung. I normally don't like doing designs, but after seeing her creativity I let her surprise me with a design that matches the seasons and/or upcoming holidays. Everyone is so friendly! I feel very relaxed and comfortable during my appointment. Parking is easy. The shop is close to home, next to work and at a mall. What can I say? Convenience is key.

I got my dip powder done from here. Lee did my nails. She was rude and made my experience uncomfortable. Every time I asked or try to communicate she frowned and said something rudely in I don’t know what language. She did not care about what I like. She scold me when I was looking at my nails and rudely asked me to put them under the light and look at them later. I asked her in a friendly way if she has some inspiration photos or photos of her work. She rolled her eyes and did not respond. I asked her again giving her benefit of doubt that she might not have understood. Even on my second time

I always come here to get my nails done & get pampered, they do the best job here. My nail tech Is Jennifer who always does an amazing job, she knows exactly what i like, she's very impressive especially to someone as particular as me. I can close my eyes and not have to worry about if everything is being done right. Every since I've been here I refuse to go to any other nail place.

The absolute best nail salon I've been to in years. I was looking for a reputable salon that did mail art, as that is practically obsolete these days and I found Lynn.
Her work is so precise and professional. I haven't seen an actual nail artist in years and for that; I will continue to show her love because she makes me so happy when I leave her shop!

AWFUL!
Overall my experience was overpriced and disappointing. The staff do not pay individualized attention to clients and act as if they're bothered by us coming in! I pre-priced my experience based on their brochure, as was charged an extra $100 and the receipt didn't detail what I was being charged for and the receptionist couldn't provide an explanation nor correct the charge!!

I've come to the Metropolitan Nail Bar on Pentagon Row a few times now. Due to mobility issues, I now have to get pedicures. For about an hour, they massage your feet and legs, file off the dead skin, and really provide top quality service. They even offer beverages to customers (including wine) while you're in the shop. Overall, I'm quite pleased and will be a returning customer.

The salon was very clean & has a chic set up.
They also installed protective glass between the workers & customers to prevent the spread of covid. You're also required to wear a mask. I forgot the nail technicians name but she did my nails exactly like the photo I showed her. Overall it was a great/safe experience!
