Our 2 sons have been going to LVMA for almost 2 years. Master Leon has taught them to be more confident, not only in class but also outside of class. He has so much patience with all the children no matter their age or belt level. He cares for all of them and the kids love him.

Yesterday we dropped off our 10-year-old son for his taekwondo class with his teacher/owner of the local dojo, Wilson Leon of Locust Valley Martial Arts. There were a total of two ten-year-old boys (our son and another child) in the "class". When we picked up our son 45 minutes later, he reported that Mr. Leon told the other ten-year-old to begin class and then LEFT the building and DROVE away. There were NO adults in the entire building-- no staff, no coaches, no secretaries, no adults. Just two ten-year-olds.

Master Leon really cares about the kids and teaches them invaluable lessons of proper respect and attention. He has tremendous patience and makes the classes fun with plenty of structure. His teachings have helped our special needs son become a well-rounded, well-behaved child. He can’t wait for the next class and hugs Master Leon after every session. More than we could ever have asked for! Can’t say enough great things!

It is an awesome school! We signed up our son a year ago, and cannot be happier with Master Leon, the way teaches his students. He has individual approach to each one of them, always ready to listen to them, their needs, understanding yet strict. He always motivates them for bigger goals and achievements. We appreciate it because this is exactly what our son needed. We have noticed positive changes in his both physical and spiritual development. Thank you, Master Leon, for those improvements! Master has a lot of higher belt students and champions, who are good examples and motivation to our kids
