Temecula Ballet uses the superior Russian Vaganova Method for training its students. Supplemental to ballet class, Temecula Ballet offers contemporary and jazz, as well as stretch and conditioning classes by a certified [Progressing Ballet Technique ] instructor and [Flexistretcher] Conditioning Specialist.

Starting out as Svetlana's Dance Academy in 1999, Temecula Ballet began in a small, one room ballet studio. Now in a 3 studio location, Temecula Ballet is the oldest strictly ballet company in Temecula. Our students and their families make us who we are. The Vaganova method is a ballet technique and training system devised by the Russian dancer and pedagogue Agrippina Vaganova (1879-1951). The steps in Vaganova's syllabus builds on a carefully developed progression in which the "basic" or "preparatory" forms are mastered before the dancer moves on to more difficult forms.
Russian Ballet Intensive (RBI) is a 3-week course with intense ballet training in the Vaganova method classical ballet along with other dance styles to provide students with the most diverse education and experience. It is held at the at the Voronezh State Academy of Ballet in the city of Voronezh, a large city located just south of central Russia.

Temecula Ballet receives enrichment form. After we receive an enrichment form and services have been rendered, we will invoice your school for the funds.
For centuries, dance manuals and other writings have lauded the health benefits of dancing, usually as physical exercise. More recently we've seen research on further health benefits of dancing, such as stress reduction and increased serotonin level, with its sense of well-being. Most recently we've heard of another benefit: Frequent dancing apparently makes us smarter.

This place was so sad. My 3 and 5 yr old diligently attended every class, gave notice when we couldn't make it. The studio is completely chaotic. Apparently we missed a rehearsal and apparently there were multiple ones in one week... we came to rehearsal the day before Thanksgiving and they said they were issuing a punishment...literally called it a punishment... they had no other reason...and pulled my baby out of the show he was working hard for. They also don't allow masks during a pandemic for the performance . Which was crazy to me. And they had so many hidden costs you don&apos

AMAZING Nutcracker during the 2018 season at the Temecula Community Theatre! Great dancers, smooth and interesting choreography, beautiful costumes, and charming cast!
We saw the ballet in November 2018 and I wish I purchased a DVD of the show. Our kids loved it so much they were ecstatic that I purchased tickets for Nutcracker in December. Only for it to be by another dance company and that show absolutely failing in comparison to Ms. Svetlana's. My kids are beyond heartbroken it wasn't the same show!
I wish they did another run for the season! I would go see it again!

If you are looking for quality instruction in classical ballet, your search is over! My daughter has been at this studio for the past 10 years and considers it her second home. The director, Svetlana Waisman, develops a personal relationship with all of her students and finds their strengths, and builds on that to create beautiful ballerinas. Performance opportunities for all ages are offered for each show that she produces. This was our first stop and will be our last stop for classical ballet instruction.
