I am a Marriott customer with lifetime silver status with that said having stayed at over 250 Marriott locations this was by far the worst collection I have ever stayed at.
DONT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. We arrived late in the evening Around 1 am. Exhausted to say the least and went to our room. Hair in the shower and stained sheets is how we were welcomed to the hotel. Went to the front desk to exchange the room which they happily did and stated they have had problems with house keeping. Went to the second room and had stained pillow cases and no soap in the shower. We decided to cut our loses and

I feel like for what I paid I may have expected more than what was essentially a nicer Courtyard hotel. The rooms and service are fine. If you are looking to visit a student at NC State, this is the perfect location to do so. My only complaint really is just I didn't feel like I got super great value.
Edit: I will say though that their rates appear to be much better now than when I stayed.

I was invited for dinner by a guest staying at the hotel the night of the 12th. We had a lovely dinner on the patio at dusk. In all of my 72 years, I have NEVER seen a better waitress serving us!! She was the most energetic, patient, accommodating, nice and thoughtful server ever! The hotel is fortunate to have such a hard worker. I wish I could recall her name! She provided us with heating units for our comfort, accommodated my grandson’s needs for a less Spicey entree without hesitation, allowed another grandson to have something totally off the menu, and was efficiently FAST with all requests

Beautiful property. Such a lovely warm welcoming ambiance! Top Notch Experience with this lady-waitress, Miss "Vonny" -- Although the menu was "kinda short"... in all of my world travels and getaways, I've never seen a better waitress serving us! Miss "Vonny" was genuinely caring, personable, incredibly patient to my wife and kids — This is easily one of, if not the best experiences we’ve ever had. She's definitely the epitome of a real hospitality industry professional who embraces all customer-service culture by heart! The customer service skills that matter... Patience — Attentiveness

Check in, TV doesn’t work in room … and they have no one to fix it?
The fireplace in the lobby doesn’t work “cause no one can find the remote.”
No manager on duty to speak with.
No one to take care of functionality of the property itself.
It’s obvious, Marriott is riding the “shiny newness” of this property without paying attention to the details.
It’s a beautiful property, but the brand ends there … uncomfortable beds, no staff support. And to think, this is a “4-star” property. That designation wont last more than a year. Better (and cheaper) options available in
