Hand-stuffed blue cheese olives in my martini. Full stop. OMG delicious!!
Great appetizers. Cool vibe indoors as a clubby club and outdoors with a gorgeous view.
Go here! You won't be sorry!

Had a great work luncheon here. Even though it was a little overcast and chilly that afternoon the staff members made sure we had hot tea and even brought out complimentary blankets to keep our legs warm.

We started off with a soup or salad option and even a vegan option was mentioned but not on the menu which was thoughtful since some in our party were vegan.

I ordered the tomato and white bean soup which was a bit over salted but was still very good. The bread they brought out was phenomenal it was so light but so good! I even took a piece home for my husband to try.

I ordered the BLT

Some hotels do it all correctly, the Washington Duke Inn is one of those establishments. From the valet service to the front desk, including guest services & the staff at the restaurant, all 5 star IMO. Our menu selections of Szechuan Wings, Chesapeake Lump Crabcakes, Joyce Farms Chicken Breast & a dessert of Lemon Cheesecake were all delicious! The room was well appointed & luxurious. The king bed was super comfortable. Well worth the cost.

RACIAL PROFILING, HIGHLY DISAPPOINTING
I was visiting Duke for my commencement ceremony (shoutout class of 2020) and wanted to enjoy a nice dinner with two of my fellow graduates, at the WaDuke.
My friends and I are all young black males, of graduation age. When we walked into the restaurant and asked for a table, the host said they will need to go talk to their manager to see if we could get a table. This was already slightly suspicious because we were confused why they couldn't just use the system to see if there are spare tables and why they needed to speak to a manager to figure that out

Old and broken beds, literally slanting in bed as this is written. Also don't spend the money to upgrade, or for a view. Suites don't have windows, weird. Great location, good brief service at bar and food at bar was satisfying.

This has been a favorite for a long time when it comes to an upscale meal that is worth the price. During Covid they have been EXCEPTIONALLY careful and contentious. Also, the wait staff is incredible. They are friendly, helpful, and really help create a wonderful dining experience.

Absolutely fantastic! Salmon, filet mignon, salads, pancakes, and grits. We ordered room service a couple times over a few days during Covid. Safe, clean, easy, and really tasty. Outstanding food.

My professor took me to this place for the first time and the blue crab cake still remains classic over the years. This place is memorable for us and has become "the standard" when we compare other nice dining places. Fairview is quite expensive so we can only go there occasionally, but memories are so nice.

Love for a cocktail before dinner at the Bull Durham Bar! Also, amazing for any meal of the day at the Washington Duke Inn. We are executive members and the perks are totally worth it! Shout out to the best bartender Tim. Husband and I love to dress up and take part in fine dining, and this is our go too! You can also go to Duke game nights! Super fun. We also did Christmas Eve brunch here-what a delight.

This is a review of the dinner. I shared the Angus steak with mashed potatoes and roasted brussel sprouts with my mother. The food was decadent, and steak was humongous. The medium rare steak was brimming over with juices from the meat and tasted heavenly. If you have a special occasion or plan on meeting some friends for drinks after work, this place is superb for both purposes! They have a section that requires no reservations and another that does. Keep in mind, the food is a bit pricey when deciding to come here.

Seriously one of the best brunches we have ever had. The table next to us sat down and before ordering got up and helped themselves to the dessert table. We thought how uncultured and rude.... that is until we ate dessert. OMG! I can’t tell you the last time an entire brunch dessert was scratch made with so many different choices. I am not doing this review justice by just describing dessert. Our shrimp and grits and crab cakes were also amazing. Be patient as your chef created an amazing dish with so many different flavors you will talk about it for the rest of the day. My crab cakes were unlike

Everything was top notch. Servers, food and atmosphere. This is one of the very few classy places in the area. The best part is the covered patio area. My wife and I like to eat alafresco (in the fresh air) and on a beautiful Wed. night (our wedding anniversary) we were the only ones dining on the patio. When we made the reservation we requested the patio, but they couldn’t guarantee it because of a special event that night. We sat at a quiet corner patio table only seeing a few fellow patrons. We walked around the restaurant and found it noisy. If you want a romantic date night call ahead ask

Upscale hotel on Duke University's golf course. The golf course is beautiful and challenging. The service at this hotel is top of the line, chocolates on the pillow and turn down serve.

Take in the afternoon tea, so many choices of superb tea and the homemade scones are a must.
The grounds are filled with nature trails perfect for hiking and running.

Quick walk across the street to the historical Duke University.

Only downfall is the old decor, time for a update.

Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club is an upscale hotel in Durham that is located on Duke University's golf course. It's an old but elegant hotel and puts a major emphasis on service. It's a good location if you're wanting to stay at an upscale hotel right next to Duke University.

My Overall Rating - 4 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Facility, Return)

Atmosphere - The entire Durham area is beautiful. Streets are surrounded by tall trees and nature, and nestled on the south end of Duke University you'll find Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club. There is plenty of parking
