Founded in 1972, Williamstown Community Preschool serves the needs of toddler, preschool, and school-age children and their families. From age 15 months to 12 years, children find a safe, caring environment at WCP where they can grow, learn, and thrive. The Williamstown Community Preschool is a private, non-profit corporation governed by a Board of Directors.
We believe in offering a rich, developmentally appropriate learning environment that focuses on child-centered, child-directed activities. The WCP staff seeks to create opportunities for children to experience, explore, and gain an understanding of the world and the people around them.

Services
With help from the Community Preservation Act and funds from our endowment, The Williamstown Community Preschool purchased the church building from the First United Methodist congregation in June of 2012. We have shared space in the building since 1972. With the purchase, we expand our use of the space, and become the stewards of the building which has been our home for so long, proudly preserving this historic site for generations to come.
Cindy - I have been at WCP for 27 years. I started out as the cook, but realized that I wanted to be a teacher, so I took the required classes I needed to be a teacher. I have been in the Puffin Room since the day it opened almost 4 years ago. Working with toddlers is by far my favorite age to work with.
Helping Hands is our annual appeal to raise support for the preschool's highest needs. We hope you'll join other current and former families and friends of WCP with a gift this year. Gifts made by check can be made out to "Williamstown Community Preschool" and mailed to 777 Main Street, Williamstown, MA 01267.
Our annual fundraiser Berkshire Bites brings together food and drink from over 20 of the North Berkshires' best restaurants with great entertainment, all in support of WCP. Tickets are available in advance for $40 or at the door for $50. To learn more about donating food or silent auction items for the event or supporting it via sponsorship, please contact school director Lisa Corkins by phone at 458-4476 or email.

Excellent educational plan for toddlers and Preschoolers. They have helped foster growth within our children! Couldn’t ask for a better place. Staff is patient and takes time with all of the kids and will answer your questions promptly. The staff treats all the kids as if they are their own. The also have a great sense of community and organize community functions for the children and families regularly!

We love this place. They've been so accommodating for us in every respect and we always recommend them to others when the question comes up. They are friendly, professional, thoughtful, and just make you feel right at home -- and of course they do the same for the kids. Very lucky to have such a great program here!
