He has trained in the art of French cooking and has previously been the executive chef at both Northampton's old Green Street Cafe, and at Once Upon a Table in Stockbridge.

The food is great—the chef makes everything from scratch and it shows. The veggie burger might be the best I’ve had, although I also really like the one at the Dirty Truth in Northampton.
The chef is inventive with the specials menu, which changes every week so there’s always something new to try. The dining room is cozy and offers a beautiful view of the Berkshire foothills.
The music is usually really good, but maybe the best part of the experience is being able to take your cocktail outside onto the beautiful lawn.

The new Velvet Restaurant is amazing. Ate off the bar menu and enjoyed everything: local draft beer, small bites (chef-made pickles!!), and burgers to die for. Even the ketchup is made in the restaurant! We will definitely be back.

A newly refurbished Old Country Club that is more of a restaurant now.
Has a nice interior bar and great window seating for groups of all sizes.
Also has a spectator sport aspect because you can watch players tee off first hole and approach the 9th hole.
Food beer and drinks all served here. Everything is very good.

The food was excellent, the waitress was so so, the views are spectacular, but if you're expecting a quiet, intimate, refined dining experience, you'll be sorely disappointed when the very loud and somewhat obnoxious golfers start trooping through the dining room.
