Cars today are very complex. Following your manufacturers suggested maintenance schedule will help to avoid costly repairs. Preventive maintenance is the best way to make sure your vehicle is running properly. The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) is a professional certification group that certifies professionals and shops in the automotive repair.
The organization aims to improve the quality of vehicle repair and service through the testing and certification of repair and service professionals. I understand that in this economy it is important to keep costs down, however your vehicle is also important and you do not want to go to a second rate shop for your service or repairs.

Recently had my oil changed, and was told I needed brakes. Being new to the area, I didn’t have a mechanic yet. Fortunately I found R&L. Made an appointment, and dropped off my truck. Shortly afterwards, I received a call from the mechanic. Instead of bad news, he informed me that as much as he appreciates my business, he wound not feel right replacing my brakes. Said they looked fine and said I had at least another year before he would recommend replacing them. Definitely found me an honest, and trustworthy mechanic. Would highly recommend to all my friends, thanks R&L.
Sincerely, Bob.

R&L automotive has always been the cheapest, most available, and reliable mechanic. The turn around time is amazing. I haven't had any problems with any of the repairs I've had done through them. Whether it was a $1100 job or even something as simple as 400, the quality has always been top notch. THANK YOU!!!!!

Finding an honest and great mechanic is like finding treasure. Rob just changed out my plugs and coils on 2001 F-150 and now it is running like a champ. I was contemplating taking on the job myself but didn't feel like busting knuckles and being a contortionist. I dropped off the truck in the afternoon and Rob had it completed the next day. Check out R & L automotive repair for your next car issue.

Rob is a man of his word. He repaired our Subaru Forester as he said he would with no hidden costs. We told Rob our time frames and Rob was johnny on the spot. I would highly recommend R and L to everyone. The customer service is the best I have seen in a long time. Rob also gave explanation as too why we needed certain items repaired and why we didnt need others repaired. If your into not being nickle and dimed to death by a auto repair shop this is it the place to go. Rob also has some good deals going and is not a really expensive place to have your vehicle repaired. Thanks Rob you have a repeat

I’m not big on writing reviews but felt I needed to make sure everyone looking for a great honest mechanic knows they can find one at R&L.
I recently moved to the area and needed an A/C unit replaced in my 1995 Yukon that I am the original owner of, and have always had the required maintenance done on.
Due to the age of the vehicle, and the fact it’s not our primary one, it was really hard to justify the $750.00 - $1,200 pricing I got from other local shops. To save money I was going to tackle the job myself and bought an OEM compressor from Amazon, but continued to try and find a good mechanic

Took my car to R&L Automotive on a whim. I hate going to any of the bigger shops. I always feel like I'm going to get scammed because I don't know a thing about cars. With Robb at R&L my car was taken care of, all the needed fixes were explained in a way I could understand, and I was even given a discount for my first visit! If you are looking for a mechanic in the Post Falls area, around the Washington, Idaho state line, I wouldn't recommend seeing anyone else!

I'm a student from out of town and I needed some help with my car. Long story short, this mechanic is THE BEST. Great service, they fixed my car up great, and really great people to interact with. If you're looking for mechanics that know their stuff, are extremely easy to work with, are fair, and will get you what you need for a reasonable price. Then definitely DEFINITELY check out R&L Automotive.

I have had my car serviced by Robb a number of times and each time he explains exactly what is wrong with the car in terms I can understand and he tells me what he has done to fix the problem. Robb will also not try to up-sell me like the dealerships or larger automotive shops do. He will only fix what is wrong. He will also tell me what kind of life I still have on things like brakes and belts etc... I appreciate his honesty and fair pricing. When ever I leave R&L Automotive I feel like my car is fixed and safe to drive. If you are looking for an honest and fair priced shop in the surronding areas
