Stefanie has been my stylist since Penel's opened. She does AMAZING work! I always leave their feeling awesome and ready to bounce around town to show off her work. My colors, cuts, and styles are exactly what I ask for and the atmosphere is beautiful! Everyone is so friendly and ready to pamper me. I cannot wait to go back for my next visit! I had a very pleasant experience with Janet. She was very welcoming and attentive to my needs. I have very thick and wavy hair. Under humid conditions it swells and easily becomes frizzy. Janet, being an African-American lady knew very well how to tame this hair which gets a mind of its own. First, she gave me a very thorough washing and most relaxing head massage. She broke out some special attachments for her blow dryer and got started with my hair. after carefully drying my hair she then used Velcro rollers to give me just enough lift and curl. LOVE Panels. Reasonably priced and Marylin has been doing my hair for years. Even had her do my hair for my wedding. I'm quite picky with my long hair and super delicate highlights and cut and she 'gets it'. I now live downtown Chicago and yes i drive to Panel's to get my hair done. Totally worth the drive. thanks so much!

I never colored my dark brown hair until a few years ago when I was seeing a few too many gray strands, I tried several other places that could not seem to match my natural color at all. The owner here does a perfect job coloring my hair. Looks exactly like my natural color and stays soft. Highly recommended.

I have been a client of Penels Hair Designs forever! Im not only extremely happy with my awsome style,but I have NO Grey hair! Its also such a great place the staff is friendly,helpful,kind,very up to date on the todays styles ! thats very Important to me.I Have to ask Sharon a question.If your color was "Perfect" why were you changing it?Well simply doesnt make sence to me to color my Perfect color Oh well....I would recommend Penels to everyone! I came in with a perfect color of golden brown by goldwell and the women didn't give me a consult and put something darker than the base color that had privously need to make the brown fix it. I had dark hair. Too dark for my light loive complextion. the owner did wash my hiar but it was still too dark. so two day after thedye and washing I called and they said they were afraid to correct the mistek. It cost me $75. to get highlihgts with goldwell at another salon. I may can run the colr lighter through when my grey roots grow out or have to get it bleached to get the golden brwon colors
