John Montalto began his profession as a hair stylist more than 26 years ago. Throughout his career he has won numerous awards including Illinois State Champion for men's basic cut and women's fashion cut competitions. In 1986, Hair by Montalto opened, specializing in the latest domestic and European hair designs.
This massage uses long flowing strokes with a light to medium pressure to induce relaxation, stimulate circulation and release stress. This massage uses deep pressure using trigger points and firm techniques on targeted areas to release chronic tension, improve movement and induce an overall sense of well being.

John's salon is filled with love and compassion. I would follow this man to the end of the earth! One of my friends told me she had the BEST haircut of her life from him . . . no one knows hair like John. Each of us has a unique head of hair and John not only understands each head of hair but he also takes it to its most beautiful potential. It is his gift.

I am 26 years old and I have been getting haircuts from John for 26 years. He cuts my brothers, grandmother and late grandfather, father, and uncles. If that alone isn’t enough to convince you how good he is then I don’t know what is.
Nobody cuts my hair as good as John. I now live in the city and come back to Western Springs just for the perfect cut. He even gives me a straight shave on my neck to for the perfect tapered line after the perfect haircut. I refuse to go anywhere else and I highly recommend John Montalto for anyone looking for that perfect cut.
