We are excited to announce that we have officially moved into a much larger space on the first floor. The new entrance is on Park Street. Ronin Jiu-jitsu is CSW Association affiliated Brazilian Jiu Jitsu school located at 2 Park Street, Attleboro, MA 02703. In addition to BJJ, we offer several fitness and Strength & Conditioning programs, as well as Boxing, and Judo.
Our goal is to share the art of Jiu-jitsu with open doors to all practitioners from all over with no judgment or bias. We want to share our knowledge and passion for the art in a positive and inviting environment. We currently offer classes 5 nights a week, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, as well as early mornings throughout the week and weekends.

Services
A: Brazilian Jiu-jitsu is a martial art, a combat sport, and a system of self-defense that focuses on grappling. In many ways, jiu-jitsu is more grounded in reality when it comes to self defense as an assailant never picks a fair fight. Jiu-jitsu takes place on the ground where you're more likely to end up if surprised.
Everyone there is trying to learn and not be hurt. When sparring, keep that in mind. If you find that you are using strength and it's still not working, you're probably doing it wrong. Pay attention to techniques that are being demonstrated. If you do not understand a certain aspect of it, speak up rather than having a side bar conversation.

I tried several martial arts schools before coming to Ronin. All the others I had reservations with, so I would keep looking. But all it took was one class for me to realize that Ronin was the place for me. They don't waste a lot of time with rituals like so many of the other schools did. No lineups or bowing or anything like that. Warmups are doable, though at my age, I sometimes have to step aside while they are being done. The drills are done in a manner that is very helpful. While it's usually a challenge to get the moves down, you get sufficient time to practice them and they will show you

I have background in previous Martial Arts but none that involved any grappling, as you can guess, i felt out of place and very slow.
Despite this, the instructor and even the students were able to slow it down where I could practice effectively. I didn't feel rushed, no sighs of impatience, it made for a great learning experience.
Highly recommend checking this place out if you're new and even if you're a vet, you can roll with some of the other students, they can def keep up with most.

I have been training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu with Daniel off and on for quite some time. I originally started with him after I had finished my degree, and needed something to do with my free time, when it was only a few guys learning some no-gi techniques. Since then, I have watched his program grow in size and offerings, into an extremely well rounded program. Daniel is extremely dedicated to both his program and his students. He takes the time to explain, and demonstrate, each and every technique, ensuring that everyone has a firm understanding of it.

I have been training with Daniel for over two years now, and in those two years earned my blue belt from him. He is a very passionate instructor that makes sure everyone succeeds at whatever goals they set for jiu jitsu. Whether you are trying to lose weight, compete, or just looking to try martial arts in general, he is the only man to learn from

Awesome academy with incredible instruction, friendly environment, and equally friendly students. I’ve been training with coach Daniel since March 2011 and his ability to capture every detail of a technique has allowed me to advance in BJJ pretty quickly. I’d say that now in my mid-30s I’m in better shape than I ever was in my 20s.
