This contemporary residence has been curated by large volumes strategically offset to create entry points, outdoor terraces, and shading throughout the day. The main living space is anchored by a 22' wide sliding glass, La Cantina Pocket Door placed in a customized concrete, hidden door.
When closed, the space is flooded with an ever-changing light maintaining a strong connection to the exterior terrace and providing silence from the outside world.When fully open, the line between indoors and outdoors is not only blurred, it's erased completely. We chose a polished concrete floor that runs continuously from the kitchen through the backyard.

My husband and I hired Wes and his crew to help us rebuild our house from the ground up. We were able to do all of this in 11 months! In the middle of Covid no less! On house design is very modern and thanks to Wes’ team every detail is perfect! We had several elements to our house that were complicated but thankfully Wes and his guys are super skilled problem solvers and it was all executed to a T! We have worked with Farnsworth Builders on a few different projects including both renovations and a new build. If I could I give this company zero stars, I would. We waited for 6 weeks for Wes F to provide a bid for an extensive remodeling job in Culver City, only to have him finally contact my architect and say he was no longer interested in bidding. This is why general contractors get the reputation that they do. If he wasn't interested in the job (or never planned on seriously bidding) then why make us wait for 6 weeks, why not have the common decency to say no thank you up front. Highly unethical.

We just completed a huge remodel of our home (master bath, master bedroom, master closet, guest bath, guest bedroom, open kitchen area) with Wes of Farnsworth Builders.

Wes, re surfaced our balcony in Manhattan Beach and did a fantastic job. Wes understood exactly what we wanted to achieve, recommended the materials and tiles best suited for the beach/weather environment and explained every stage of the work process so we could make informed decisions and know exactly what to expect. His crew is hardworking and good at what they do. Wes is so honest and really takes his work personally, he has high standards and won't compromise on quality of his work. My husband and I decided to hire Wes and his team to remodel our bathroom. Its been a while and I wish I would have put up this review a long time ago but doesn't change the fact that I'm still very happy with how my bathroom turned out. We found Wes and his friendly and capable team in March 2012. We bought our first house and WFarnsworth Builders became our contractor for a major remodel. We removed all of the 1st floor's marble floor, all ceilings, lights, bathroom, and had the entire place painted, new base-board, new closets, wood floors, recessed lights, etc. We are very happy with the quality of the work but also note that we were very happy with the process, flexibility, transparency, helpfulness, and general attitude to us as clients and our house. I had a project installing a shed in my backyard, Wes has done a great job according to my specific requirement(shed foundation/concrete piers). Also although the assembly take longer than the original planned, he is sticking with the original estimate. 100% satisfication guarateed. He is polite, punctual as well.
