Services
Whitney Veterinary Clinic was established in 1971 by Dr. Morris Wilkins. It started off in an old building that was originally a lumber company in town that got transformed over time into a veterinary clinic. The original building was torn down in the 1980's to the current building as it sits. Dr. Kim Carter purchased the clinic in 2019, and since then it has gone through a full interior renovation and remodel.

Our veterinarians and staff are devoted to staying on top of the latest diagnostics, treatments, and wellness programs to maintain your pet's optimal health.

Our experienced veterinarians provide many surgical services at our clinic, ranging from routine to advanced procedures. Because we want to ensure that our patients receive the best possible outcome, we occasionally refer them to specialists (board-certified veterinary surgeons) to perform complex operations when advanced equipment or training will be beneficial.
Making sure our patients remain safe during surgery and other medical procedures is extremely important to us. Our team of veterinarians and veterinary technicians is skilled in using anesthesia and monitoring patients to ensure their safety and provide the most comfortable experience. Anesthesia and patient monitoring vary greatly from clinic to clinic.

Usually a relatively smooth in and out around appointment time on previous visit, however the last visit, all be it was a Monday and early appointment time seemed to be a bit more hectic as it was approximately an hour time frame from appointment to conclusion. With that said, I appreciate the professionalism of the Veterinarian and her well focused assistant and staff. Thankful to have Dr Carter as a part of the community. It would be helpful to provide a restroom for the customers.

If a negative star rating were possible I’d give it! I tried to make a same day appointment for my dog who needed care & vaccine after being bitten/ sprayed by skunk. Woman wanted to give me an appointment a week away. She also demanded a credit card number (before making the appointment) so she could charge me $25 non-refundable fee in case I did not show up!! To say the least I was shocked & saddened. I refused so she hung up on me. I took my dog to Hillsboro and got seen the same day. The sooner the new owner sells the better. This clinic’s owner/ staff uncaring, unprofessional, money-grubbing
