Chose this hotel for location and for a special nite away with fiancé!! Perfect location for a dinner and a nite at the theater!!
I read several reviews that complained about staff, rooms, noise and cleanliness…. I encountered none of these problems! Very nice staff…great room…very quite overnite…very clean, too!!
People had complained about having to park in the public garage…not a problem at all for me… have done that in many cities I’ve visited in the past! Parking was a short walk…easy peezy!!
Looking forward to another getaway weekend… maybe in the Spring!!

I do not know if I caught this guy on a bad night. The date is November 14, 2021. I checked in with an immediate attitude from the gentleman at the front desk. I went about my business and had dinner in the area. My company uses the Heldrich for many conferences, and has through the years. When I got back to my room the Wi-Fi was not working properly and I had flown six hours from the West Coast and was exhausted. When I called the front desk the same gentleman told me and I quote you clearly don't read directions and you do not listen to what people tell you. I cannot believe how I was talked

Great location. We went to see a show at the State Theater next door. The hotel is centrally located, with many shops and restaurants to walk to. The rooms and common areas were clean and modern. We were missing some towels, and never got replenished after calling the front desk. Our room "on the curse" overlooked the city and park plaza. Very nice for people watching. Quiet and comfortable sleep.

Two stars because of great location. Everything else earns it zero stars. Bathtub did not work. Tv did not work even after they fixed. Fitness room has no bathroom and water cooler always empty. Towel shelves bare always. Room service only upon request. Bar closed on Sundays and Mondays. Bar closed at a hotel? No parking. Staff indifferent at best. Internet connection pretty crapy and does not like apple computers.

I was here for a banquet in November. I reported the mold when I found it which was right after I took my shower. The room was clean but because of it still being a pandemic I also brought my own cleaning and sanitizing supplies. I cleaned the tub, toilet seat and sink just to be extra cautious. So when I happened to notice the mold I called right away. They said they would send up an engineer. After the banquet the mold was still there and it didn’t seem as if it had been treated. I spoke to the front desk and they offered to comp my room. I have called daily and their phones were down and it’s

It is tough to review this place because it has a beautiful exterior and is in a great location. The staff is friendly and is has the potential to be a top hotel, but just kind of misses.
As a start, the hotel seems to be going through some renovations. Our room was complete, but it was odd. This had two beds, but they were not equivalent--one was a little smaller and lower.
Then one major problem was that the door would not close on its own--when you left, you needed to pull it closed (which has huge security concerns). We had family staying at other rooms and one of their rooms also had

Not a great value. You have to spend an additional $21 to park your car overnight at a parking garage around the corner (late at night not a great situation). I went to 4 floors before I found an ice machine that worked. Sheetrock tape in bathroom ceiling is peeling away. I will say the room was clean, but we will spend our money elsewhere when staying in New Brunswick again.

Highly NOT recommend this hotel.. first of all the front desk workers are rude & not accommodating at all.. they are busy talking on their personal phones and it's a bother if you ask them for any request or questions. 2nd, no parking in the premises. You have to find parking on the street or park @ the garage that cost so much $$$., 3rd, no room service. You have to request for room service to get your room clean & get new towels/toiletries, but even if you did request, they don't do it. For two days, I returned in my room untouched & not clean.. The rooms are tiny and dirty

I stayed at The Heldrich many times for retreats a few years ago and the rooms were immaculate.
Today, I unfortunately had to get a refund as the room I was given was incredibly dusty, there were grease stains on the headboard, scratches all over the furniture, marks all over the walls and what appeared to be makeup on the door post of the bathroom.
It's so disappointing as now I have to find somewhere else to stay on short notice and I was told the rooms are cleaned every day. Even after I showed the front desk attendant the photos I'd taken she was curt with me. And I know for a

This is based off the experience I had when coming here for a residency interview a few years back, so one would hope that things have changed, but long story short, the program I was interviewing at was nice enough to book a hotel for me since I was coming in from out of state.
I got there at around 11:30 pm (was chasing down a connecting flight after initial flight was delayed) to find out that they'd given my room away, and had "run out of all their other rooms."
Dafuq?
On a random weekday nowhere close to any holiday, your entire hotel is just completely booked full even though

DO NOT GO HERE! This place is absolutely terrible. The reception staff refused to provide any dressing for the bare mattress in our "suite" despite several requests. The staff went out of their way to be extremely condescending and rude. In fact they threatened to call the police on us for asking to put blankets on our bed. I refused to pay for any of it. DO NOT GO HERE. It's dirty, nothing works, no one cares about anything. Homeless people have more amenities than this dump.

Positives was, Check in was smooth. Beds are super super comfortable. For most part the room was clean with no odors. Downtown area. Negatives was, Restaurant inside hotel was closed due to Covid, I guess. So no food on property at all. No microwave in rooms. No parking. Separate parking garage behind hotel that they recommend is up to $21 but you have to pay each time you go in & out of the parking garage. Sodas in vending machine was warm. No snack vending machines.

I just had a great experience at Heldrich Hotel. I stayed for New Year's Eve. The staff was very nice and attentive. They checked me in quickly, and followed up to make sure that I was enjoying my stay. Mathasia and Kiara were especially helpful and friendly - thank you, ladies!
I also really enjoyed the complimentary breakfast at Christopher's. Once again, the staff was attentive and made sure that I received the food I like. I also really enjoyed the coffee service - with fresh cream!
It was great mini-vacation. I look forward to staying again soon (maybe when Boyz to Men come to

Absolutely no reason to return. Greeted by chain-smoking "valets" who gang up and pressure into $30 valet fee. Takes awhile to get your car back when you need to go anywhere. Cavernous lobby is off-putting and the acoustics are awful.
Check-in people were nice enough. Room was okay if it were a Super 8 or something. Nothing nice about it whatsoever. Bathroom dark and cramped. The Bar/Restaurant was noisy and extremely overpriced with very mediocre food. Seated us next to very noisy trio of drunk and obnoxious young women. I could go on, but why?

Stayed her for a conference at the near by children's hospital. My first night my room was a handicapped room with what looked like a leak in the corner. They checked but it was dry. I am not in need of a handicap accessible room and was sad to not have a normal
Shower and bath. In addition the room had a peculiar smell That I couldn't figure out. When I returned after the first day of my conference the smell was so overwhelming I had itchy eyes, was coughing my throat was burning. They sent engineering who changed the filter and also switched my room. Which was nice but the smell is

We booked the Heldrich for three reasons: it's proximity to Robert Wood Johnson hospital, it's free shuttle service within a five mile radius, and it's indoor swimming pool. Unfortunately even though we called a few days earlier to confirm it still open for the winter season, we were informed the pool was closed for two weeks for routine maintenance. Disappointing, but that's life.
We also had some problems with the shuttle service ending early when we were there, even though we'd confirmed that morning that it would still be running when we planned to come back. I
