Regular check-ups and cleaning are an important part of oral hygiene for adults and children alike. They are vital for patient education, a healthy smile and an early diagnosis of dental disease. A routine dental cleaning should be performed every six months and includes a personal dental health evaluation and recommendations, scaling to remove plaque and tartar, teeth polishing, and periodontal charting.
While it is often performed to reduce discoloration and staining, most patients choose a whitening treatment simply for whiter, brighter teeth. As people age, many will notice their teeth darkening from things we do in our everyday lives, such as smoking or drinking coffee, tea, red wine or soft drinks.
We schedule appointments M-F during our regular business hours. Certain procedures must be scheduled earlier in the day due to the amount of time required to complete the procedure, but we will always try to accommodate your schedule as best we can. We are in-network with Aetna, Assurant, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee, Cigna, Delta Dental, MetLife, and United Healthcare.

This is the best place I’ve been for teeth cleaning. They are quick, and they seem to be knowledgeable about different issues with teeth/gums and their causes. The cleaning was efficient, and they did everything including X-rays in under thirty minutes. It’s a small place with only a little room in the lobby area, so it’s best to go when it isn’t crowded. They give you a toothbrush and toothpaste when you leave, which is something I prefer when selecting a dentist. I’d highly recommend this place for routine cleanings.

What a fantastic experience from John and the rest of the staff. I went in for a cleaning and the hygienist very systematically laid out what else would need to be done (having a few cavities filled). On my return for the procedure, the staff remembered me by name and promptly took care of me. Dr. Masengill is extremely efficient and the procedure was painless. Also, the open floor plan, ample windows, and ambient music makes you feel comfortable. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Went to the office as a new patient for regular check up, cleaning and toothache. Waited about 40 minutes to see Doctor. Took about 16 minute for Teeth cleaning and check up. So far the shortest time I ever had on Dental appointment. No resolution on my Toothache. Pain still continue and now I need to find new dentist.

Dr. Masengill is one of the best dentists I have ever had the pleasure to go to. Thank goodness Dr. Emery referred me to him. I had a butcher for a dentist before and he ruined my teeth. In fact, I lost several teeth because he just couldn't be bothered to even take an X-ray to see what he was doing. I've referred everyone I know to him!
