Full activities rain or shine - we are an "outdoor camp" with two indoor gyms, indoor pool, air-conditioned multipurpose center.
Most of Camp Pennbrook's head counselors, group leaders, specialists, and senior counselors have been working together for many years. They bring continuity to the program, and are in touch with many of our campers during the year. Their camaraderie is unsurpassed in camping. Most staff members are former campers who have "grown up" with us.
Flip has been involved in weight loss camping since 1976, and has literally grown up in camping. Flip was an executive director of the former Weight Watchers Camps. He spends his entire fall, winter, and spring developing the Camp Pennbrook program to ensure that your daughter experiences a happy, slimming, and meaningful summer at camp.
Campers will meet weekly with trained nutrition staff members and discuss topics pertaining to a specific age group. Individual camper concerns will be highlighted. All campers receive a one-on-one nutritional counseling session along with a camp menu and recipe book. These classes will allow your daughter to choose her own healthy snacks, meals, and desserts.

I reviewed this on Yelp and the owner replied saying I was lying and unprepared. The living conditions were hell. The rooms smelled like pee and rotten wood. For three weeks, I only saw the janitor once or twice. The showers were tiny and disgusting. The toilets sometimes had period blood smeared on it. Someone threw a bloody pad in my room. A special need kid got led on to say the n word and almost got beat up for it. The food was not good, I lost a total of 4 pounds while being constantly hungry. I always tried to eat less of what they gave me but it was calorie dense and low volume. Many people

I started out as a camper for 2 years in 2010 & 2011. As someone who struggled with weight my whole life, this camp was an inclusive place for me to try things I never got to try with people in similar situations as myself. I returned again in 2015, where I was both a counselor and Group Leader for the teens for 4 summers. Having the opportunity to work with these girls who I can relate to completely was very fulfilling and I am grateful to have helped them on their own health and wellness journey. The body confidence you gain from summer here whether it's 2 weeks or 8, is unmatched. The

I LOVE Camp Pennbrook! The environment is positive, encouraging, and supportive. As a camper, who’s main goal was to lose weight, I loved everything it offered. There was a great variety of sports and exercise that led to a great amount of weight loss. I loved that I learned how to eat what I loved, but in a healthier way. Definitely looking to return this summer!!!

As part of this camp for over 10 years starting as a counselor then group leader to now being the associate director ,and have attended weight loss camps as a child. the reviews are untrue and do not accurately portray the camp. The program has been in existence for over 30 years. Most of the staff are former campers who have grown up in the camp and know the program and want to give something back by helping the campers The camp sends out a Parent Handbook with the basic rules and regulations including electornics policies, basic hygiene etc. Parents are also required to sign a behavior form so

I love this camp , of course if you don’t want to do the work you will not get nothing out of it. These are real women and girls all over the world struggling with weight and if you really want a trained, discipline and supportive environment this is for you. The staff here are previous campers who struggles with weight themselves so of course they are the best staff for the job because they can relate and actually understand what these real life girls are going through. It’s an adjustment because you’re so use to eating bad and not working out so of course it’s gonna be hard but that’s

Honestly, if I could give this place a 0 star rating, I would. I came here as a camper the summer of 2019 for 3 weeks. In short, this camp is very disorganized, the counselors were not trained well enough to do their job, not everyone loses weight, the laundry service provided mix matched many pieces of clothing, and many counselors talk about campers behind their back to other counselors and campers. If you do not wish to experience mistreatment or discomfort, please avoid this camp at all costs. Do not waste your money here, it is not a worthwhile experience!

0 stars !! I sent my stepdaughter for summer camp. It was extremely pricey so I thought you get what you paid for. But it was the worse for the price we paid for. The staff and management did not address any issues my daughter had or even ignored our calls and emails. This was a really bad experience.
