I was told the fact that my abuser was on SSI was going to count against me and that I should prepare for my abuser to move back in. When trying to put a retainer I was told they don't except payments, even though the I have initial email I received said that they would "work with me with payments". The attorney himself took my credit card info and told me he'd email the paperwork involved with retaining him but never actually charged me and I never received further correspondences from him or anyone at his place of work. Looks like Mr. Smith has pissed a lot of people off. I think I know why. He is very straightforward and sometimes in emotional situations people want a therapist over a lawyer. ATTENTION!!! If you're searching for an attorney who will take your money while feeding you lies, you've came to the right guy. Not only did Kurt Smith not show up for our first court hearing, he sent his "associate" who was not only late enough to piss off the judge but the defendants attorney had to keep telling him who he was representing. Kurt Smith's "associate" couldn't remember our names. My mother was fed lie after lie after lie by Kurt Smith. Our case has not actually been to court yet, but I wanted to review based on services so far. Every single time I have called everyone has been super friendly and understanding of my case. Actually we paid the bill in full as we are good, responsible citizens like that and they have NEVER obtained my daughter's new birth certificate as he stated they would do, which is just disgraceful. My wife and I recently had our Trust done with Smith Legal group. They provided a package that included the Trust and two each of; Wills, Living Wills, durable power of attorney for health care. Never having dine this we did not know what to expect. The process was not simple. The work was finished as promised. Upon completion we had to do all the filing at the bank and Clark County for the home. Clark County sent us to a legal form store. That is when we found out that we we not provided with all the necessary forms and information. The legal form store did and even filed the paperwork for us

So far my meeting with the group has been good, I was giving a free consultation and made aware of things for free that other law groups wanted to charge me for. Attorney Smith was great. He handled my husbands custody case and he fought hard and right. He didn't sugarcoat things for my husband which was nice, but he was kind about it. Kurt was 1 to 1 and very realistic with me on journey threw divorce court and 2 custody battles I might add that I have 3 kids with different mothers that I have 50/50 physical joint custody with thanks to smith legal group.
also no child support due to mutual income he and his firm are bye far the best I had the pleasure to deal with due to another firm taking my money and absolutely not doing any thing besides a letter big pain!! has made me think the worst of lawyers but Kurt changed my mind on always having a lawyer like

Great attorney and very knowledgeable and spoke to me like a was a person. He handle three separate cases for me and had about 4 different issues in my case. I got joint custody of my step daughter, which never happens in our courts. His staff was amazing as well and always curious. He's worth the money and in the end gave be a HUGE discount to pay it off. Hopefully I never have to use him again

I hire this lawyer group for the commodity of payments, worst mistake not reading the real reviews, they only care about money, they moved my hearing and I was not notified so I lost a day of work. But when my payment was not processed got the email right away to pay!!! I'm very disappointment of Kurt Smit Services. I went with him for a legal separation and then a divorce, he recommended me to go to trial and I trusted him so I ended up paying him more than 5,000 and as soon as I finished paying him he literally started to ignored my case, my phone calls and emails. I had several appointments over the phone with him (because I move out of Vegas) and he did not attend them.
I sent several emails to the paralegal too with no answer back.
I called the office a bunch of times and they said they will call me back and nothing.
It's sad and disappointing

I had a 10 a.m. appt. with Attorney Kurt Smith. I left after 20 minutes. He was late and I was never asked to reschedule nor was I updated on the status of his late arrival. I left given that my time is valuable and I was there on time. Attorney Smith called my cell 30 minutes later and apologized saying he would be happy to help me if I still needed assistance.

Had free consultation with this practice regarding divorce. Gave a $3000 deposit to hold in an account for payment for any fees that arise during process. Next day I contacted them and told them not to proceed further that wife and I were going to counceling and were going to work on our marriage. They cashed check anyways. Have contacted them to get my money back and was told to email someone named Christie that she had to submit it through billing. Emailed her like I was told to do and no response. Tried to call office and phones disconnected. Went to office and Noone there.. fishy and clearly
