Does not value client's time. I have two pets and have had several appointments over the past six months. I have always had to wait at least 30 minutes PAST the scheduled appointment time to be seen.
Additionally, there seem to be some communication issues among the staff. There have been multiple instances where my pet's medications were forgotten or I was given the wrong dose and had to come back to resolve the issue. They really put the onus on the client to manage the pets regular medications, rather than providing comprehensive service.
Furthermore, front desk does not seem to be organized

This is where we took my golden retriever for 17 years of her long life. Unfortunately she had a stroke one night and it was clear the best decision for her was to be put down that same day so that she was in no pain. When I called the vet and asked if we could bring her in to be put down, they said they do not do same day appointments under any circumstances-even emergency euthanasia. They said if I wanted to schedule an appointment they didn't have any appointments available for over 5 days. They were no help at all when we needed them most. In the future, we would never bring another pet

We have a new 9 week Golden Retriever puppy and were not allowed into the exam room with her for her first exam due to the way they are handling the COVID protocol. Therefore, after almost 20 years and 3 Golden Retriever's having been taken care by CVH, we had decided to change vets. Their care is good; however, we felt we needed to be with our new pup on her first exam and our request was denied.

Absolutely love Coronado Veterinary Hospital! We have been going there for a little over a year. Everyone is super nice and caring there. They have definitely gone out of their way to make sure my dog is taken care of. Dr. Noppinger is so sweet and caring. I couldn't ask for a better vet for our Maple girl!!! Thank you Coronado Veterinary Hospital.

I was referred to Dr. Nopinger by a family member about a year and a half ago when I wanted a second opinion after a different vet recommended euthanasia for my dog. Dr. Nopinger offered a far less fatalistic plan of action based on the same findings and my dog has continued to enjoy a great quality of life under her guidance since. Even though it is quite a drive to the clinic for me, it's worth it for this awesome quality of care. The staff are all professional, organized, and friendly, and there's a nice atmosphere in the office (though care is currently drop off only during the pandemic

Spent thousands of dollars at this vet for my dog, Gracie. She had a surgery on her bladder, as a very young dog. Called to get her record sent for the surgery to my new vet on the east coast and they don't have it. They don't use a computer system and purge their records after three years! My dog was a patient there for eight years. They were also using Cystocentesis to get urine from her for years without even telling me!! Makes me livid to this day. Keep in mind, a very transient place like Coronado for Navy folks, if you move, they PURGE your records! Ridiculous. It's 2020 for the love of God

Update from my initial review one month ago. Sarah, from Coronado Veterinary Hospital, thank you for the follow up response to-and within-my previous review. And thank you for clarifying the tech's intentions; however, as I was the only one standing outside the entrance and within six feet away from her, a simple acknowledgment from her would have gone a long way.
Second, a few more things happened after my initial review: it took five phone calls and several days for your team to email me my cat's medical records. Additionally, it took three days and several follow up calls for the

Let's see. One staff member opened the chain in the parking lot for me to pull in. That was the first time they saw me. Another staff member also came out and got the pet of the only other person that was waiting ouside with me. That was the second time someone saw me. The receptionist also looked at me multiple times while I was outside with my dog looking in. To say you didn't know I was there is absurd. Even if all of the staff thought I was just some random person standing there for 25 minutes with my dog, why did not one person ask if I needed anything or say they would be right

Called on a Tuesday for a Friday appointment. Receptionist was personable and professional. I don't know her name but she speaks volumes as the gate keeper to this office. Due to COVID 19 they had special procedures in place. Park in the lot. Call the office upon arrival. A veterinarian assistant (with PPE) retrieves your furry family member. Once the exam is complete you receive a call regarding payment. For the most part a hands free transaction. Pricing is reasonable and they offer a military discount. Technologically savvy with a patient portal and messaging system. Ample free patient

Sorry, you get one star from me. Terrible experience today. Rude staff, and my dog still hasn't been treated. My dog has diarrhea and they did x-rays costing a total of $288 and then said if I wanted to I could buy some antibiotics for his diarrhea for more money on top of the $288. I'm dirt broke now because of this place, and I still owe them some money. Upon leaving I couldn't even afford to get the antibiotics to treat his condition. This is weeks after going there and spending $100 for the same thing - diarrhea which they treated with antibiotics that time.

This is the nicest cleanest and most festively decorated veterinary office I've ever seen! Dr. Jennifer Jarvis is very knowledgeable and helpful. I can tell she truly cares about pets and their people. I'm so… grateful they gave our sick rescue girl Nutmeg an appointment immediately even on New Year's Eve. Dr. Jen took her time and was quite careful with our senior sweetheart. Honestly what a great place!!!

Love, Love, LOVE Coronado Veterinary Hospital! The staff are always so nice, and genuinely care about all of their patients. The doctor was SO NICE and spent a Lot of time with us. When I think about the time spent in appointments with my regular doctor (usually about 5-10 minutes), and with the vet @ CVH, it makes me wish that she could be MY doctor too!
I highly and enthusiastically recommend Coronado Veterinary Hospital!

Dr. Jarvis is THE reason I continue to come here (it's pretty pricey). She's awesome with my pet and her love and passion for animals is visible!
The biggest improvement they need to make is their prescription process. If you order your meds from online pharmacies you will need to pick up a written prescription because they do not fax or email the prescription to the pharmacy (unlike every other vet in 2019). This is a big inconvenience! It's an easy fix.

I wanted so badly to like this place. We did like the dr we saw and Jennifer up front, but man, everyone else is either rude, or a know-it-all type that talks to you like you're dumb. The place has no consideration for people with children on top of it. I wanted to pay my bill before they brought my puppy back since my hands were obviously full and before I could even get the question of doing so out, the girl cut me off and said "I have to wait for an invoice." Being that I've worked in this field, when a dog comes In for only vaccines usually you can make one up or at least
