Dogs are no longer allowed inside AND patio area. Only allowed out on lawn area and bottle service only on lawn, no tasting. We don't come here anymore unless we have bottles to pick up. Very disappointed in this change. It was the biggest reason we became a member. I hope at least outside patio becomes dog friendly again. We brought several couples and friends to become members because we loved their wine, winery, and the fact that it used to allowed dogs inside. Very beautiful place inside and outside. Staff members are hardworking and really nice as well. We miss them, shout out to Kimberly

As far as tasting rooms go, this one is tops. It's relaxed and unpretentious, which is special given the quality and price-point of the wines here. I love the meritage wines from Matthews. There are two other wines here that round out the menu. I totally crushed the Granache on this visit. So if you're tasting wines in Woodinville, be sure to make this a stop. If you're just out for an afternoon glass on Thursday (me), this is your place!

Wines used to be great, which is why I have been a member for years. But lately, not so much. Except for the Claret, all others are just over-expensive average wines. And they also lack decent customer service either. Their wine members are just numbers to them. I closed my 3-years long membership tonight after their customer service reach rock bottom in my opinion. Woodinville is full of great small wineries that treat their member with respect: I will give my business to them.
I give Matthews 2 stars in the name of that Claret that I still think is a good wine.

This place has the best ambiance in Woodinville on a sunny day! The lawn and patio are spacious and gorgeous. I even briefly stopped here with a baby and a dog to see some friends! We love the plastic Adirondack chairs with the wine glass holders! I like the wine but wish they had a few more food options. (However you can order in food.) Cons are the lack of bike lanes or sidewalks to reach the destination. If the parking lot is full or you do not wish to drive after drinking wine, there are no other options to reach the location. (I prefer to bike to Woodinville and not use a car.)

Our family has been loving outings to Matthews this fall to enjoy the beautiful outdoor lawn area! We have been on several different Saturdays around early afternoon, and each time had no problems finding a table outside where we were able to be nice and spread out from others. I'm still not 100% on board for indoor dining yet thanks to covid, so I love that there's such a nice outdoor seating area to enjoy here. Kids and dogs are allowed which is a huge plus for us, and the open lawn area gives plenty of space for our daughter to explore. They don't offer table service or tastings

The reason Matthews Winery should be getting it's five stars is its quality wine. Nice ambiance, beautiful location, great times. Unfortunately, our recent experience there has made us feel not welcomed.
Today's family outing didn't start on a positive note, courtesy of Matthews staff. We were refused to have our bottle opened (we are members). We felt discriminated and humiliated, and this is a deeper issue when staff considers you drunk with no obvious reason. I suggest management look into this as this is no way to treat your customers.
Thanking Chateau Ste Michelle for saving

This was my first stop on my wine tour for the day. It was super simple to make a reservation online ahead of time. The tasting was $15 for 4 wines of your choosing. They pour them one by one and you have to wait for them to come around for the next one. However the staff was very conscious on looking over when both of us were done to come by to pour again. Really liked the Jane rose and this stop was my favorite place out of the handful we went to. There's a bunch of fresh flowers in a garden by the parking area which was beautiful to see.

Our visit was on September 10th 2021 at 1:30pm. We waited till 2:03pm to get our first glass of wine to taste...not good. Not enough employees working yet they still take reservations?? Can't think of a quicker way to lose customers. We left after 52 minutes and one tasting off our menu choices...seriously disappointed. Matthews, you can do better!!

Customer service needs improvements. We love the wine; as being long time customers of Matthews wine; club member and refereeing many friends to join the club, asking for a two minute service to see if my prescription glasses might have fallen out of my handbag on the gravel drive near the creek or on the parking lot; I have been told they are to busy ; but I am free to come back and check for myself. My husband drove back and found them near the gravel drive where we sat; he noticed that five ladies behind the counter have been not busy, Very sad indeed !

I really want to give this 5 stars, and I hope to visit this place again soon after a few months beyond the pandemic. The wait staff was really friendly but so slow! We missed our appointment to the next winery because it took over a hour and a half to get a tasting :(
Wine is pretty good, and I do hope to return. I have a feeling it's from being short staffed due to COVID. We had an appointment and went on a Friday.

Delicious wines. A bit on the expensive side however the tasting fee is very reasonable and you get to pick what do you want to sample so that is a bargain.
not dog friendly which doesn’t make a lot of sense considering they have outdoor seating for the tastings on the patio. definitely should be dog friendly on the patio.
One of the employees had the most amazing blue eyes so we will return just for him 😉

What a great experience!
My group did a wine tasting- 4 pours for only $15!
The ambiance both indoors and outdoors was great (imagine rustic barn with dark accents and strung lights).
We were kindly welcomed with a complimentary pour of Rose and staff were attentive to when we were ready for our next pours, but not pushy in any way.
You get to choose from a menu of wines ranging from rose, whites and reds. Cheese & cracker platters are available for purchase as well. Whether you're going with friends or family Matthews is worth a visit!

When making a reservation here for a tasting, one of the features I was looking for was a dog-friendly winery and this place appeared on a few lists as dog friendly. When we checked in, however, we were told that only the lawn area was dog-friendly, but you cannot do a tasting on the lawn. You could, however, buy a bottle and bring it out to the lawn. That wasn't exactly what we were hoping to hear, but we made it work.

The Farmstead at Matthews Winery is my favorite place to taste/drink wine in Woodinville. The grounds are gorgeous - fresh flowers in the garden, a stream running through the property, cool, covered outdoor patio, and rustic indoor tasting room. The staff is warm and friendly, and it’s an added bonus that they welcome children and outside food/snacks. The claret wine is what brought me in to taste in the first place, and the consistently delicious, high-quality range of wines is what brings me back again and again.

They are off the main circle by 1/4-1/2 mile and are far enough away from the busy traffic circle to have some independence from the myriad of wineries all bunched together. Our friends are wine club members here so they treated us to a tasting inside followed by opening up some of their wine club wines out behind the tent and on the woodchips out back where tables are setup (some with umbrellas!) People were able to bring children and dogs to enjoy the beautiful sunny afternoon!

Absolutely loved this winery! Came here with friends visiting from out of town. Did the tastings, costs $15 for any 4, applied toward purchase of bottle. Loved their Syrah bought couple bottles.
Reservations are recommended for tastings. But if you have kids, just go to the back and purchase bottles to enjoy the backyard. Great place for kids to run around. Both are kids made friends there and had a blast while we enjoyed our wine.
Definitely recommend!

The atmosphere is cute and elegant. I would say this place is better fit for a small group or a date. I came with a larger group which was just not a great idea. Some of my friends were a little loud but that's just the kind of people they are. The staff wasn't the best at handling the situation and I've heard now from others that they really don't like too much noise.
The wine was great, I didn't get a chance to finish my tasting unfortunately, but maybe a one on one date next time I'll get the chance. I do want to go back in another setting but the first impression

We loved it here! Socially distant tables covered outside and they take reservations! You can bring your own food or if you're like me and didn't plan well, you can buy cheese at the winery and eat the chocolate your friends brought :-) They have a non-reservation section in the grass to enjoy a Bottle that looked more spacious and probably where I'll hand with my kiddo when I come back.
This week, I enjoyed the Sauvignon Blanc I bought last time and it was delicious at home. Sometimes when I get my wine home I wonder if I tasted too many, or what was I thinking, but this was a

Really enjoyed my visit to Matthew's Winery. I went in October 2020 so during the COVID pandemic. They have a lot of appropriately distanced tables outside on their nicely appointed patio. A water station was provided so patrons could fill up as needed.
Wine tastings are only $15 for four wines of your choice, including the reserve wines. What a bargain! I went for the 2017 Claret, 2016 Tenor Sauvignon Blanc, 2016 Tenor Cabernet Sauvignon, and the 2016 Tenor Syrah. All were tasty. I'm looking forward to trying each of the long-list of wine available at some point soon.

This is a beautiful winery for a tasting! We came during covid and even though we had an inside reservation, they were able to move us to a spot outside under a tent. For the tasting, you can choose 4 different wines from their menu, and we really liked the ability to choose! The tasting fee is free when you buy a bottle. Definitely want to come back in the future!

My absolute favorite winery in the world, and the staff is warm and friendly. The wine is definitely worth every penny, and really neat environment out in Woodinville Washington. The location is a little past some of the other wineries (if you are coming from the south on Woodinville Redmond road), so make sure to keep going until you see Matthews on the right hand side.
